Christmas Countdown - 2014

A lot of it is disappearing though. I guess I am ready to see spring come. Not that I will be here to enjoy it but at least I know that summer and fall are coming back soon enough! I leave to Korea in 2 weeks March 7th. I will be back around late Sept. I will keep in touch will everyone here too! Hope everyone has fun this late winter weekend! Talk to everyone soon!

I grew up in Maryland, where we had duckpin bowling. We were back in Maryland last year for a memorial service, and two of the lanes where my family used to bowl were closed. Should I blame it on video games? I remember how much I used to enjoy going out to bowl on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

It is ten pin, but the town next to us still has a candlepin alley. Our towns candlepin alley closed almost a decade ago. It is now an antique store.

so excited about the men's hockey game tomorrow! My whole family is going to be online watching together! Gold for the ladies and hoping for gold for the mens team too!
Anyone else here going to be watching? Just plug your ears because most of Canada will be watching and cheering.

Had a great time today, 190 ladies singing, praying, laughing and getting to know each other better.
Wonderful lunch of squash soup, salad and chicken wraps with petite fours for dessert.
There was a great speaker talking on the seasons of life, a piano concert and a very funny skit. Lots of door prizes, none of which I won, but that is ok, it was fun watching the excitement of those who did win.
I attened a workshop on fiances and there was also workshops on health, cake decorating and electronic scrap booking.
Also had an opportunity to try some different kinds of tea from a local tea shop.
There was a book store there with lots of good stuff available for us to purchase if we wanted to.
We finished the day with singing this song as we lit candles while standing in a circle around the sanctuary.

Sounds beautiful and soul refreshing. Was initially confused by 'fiances' I laughed because I first thought 'fiancee' then realized you probably meant 'finances'
