newbie with a hello and a quick Q

Hiya from Calif. I have most the equipment i need to start a light show including 3 boxes and LOR program. In consideration of extension cords, id like to make my own. I saw a spool of RG6 - 75 Ohm 18 awg coaxial cable for sale in local classifieds. Haven't researched this at all yet, so have no idea what I'm looking at. Would love some advice. An also needing a radio transmitter, cheap.

Welcome, bea!

The coaxial cable won't work for making extension cords. That's a data cable. It's what carries your actual cable signal through your house. For an extension cord you want something like a 10/3 SJ-cord.
