Still raining..I think that will be the case all day. Still watching tv. and still feeling crummy. Although my brother in California just called and him and his wife are expecting their 3 rd child around Nov 5. So that is exciting news. Nothing else to report just waiting on my Dr to call in a rx so I can get hopefully some sleep and get de-cluttered so to speak.
@christmasstar glad you don't have to get out on the ice/snow...Is march a typically heavy snow month for you guys?

Good afternoon MMC! Happy Friday Eve! Woo Hoo! I've got another hour until quitting time! Ready to go home & crank up the furnace!!!
We had some "excitement" around here yesterday. There was an armed robbery about 5 miles from our house - it was at a friends of ours parents house. Someone knocked on their door & his Dad answered the door, a young guy pushed his way in, pulled a gun & told them he needed a vehicle. Our friend was there on the computer so Dad called for his son & the guy pulled a knife on him. He led them out into their building where the pick up truck was made them lay down, told them if they turn him in, he will be out of jail in 15 years or less & he would be back!
About a month ago our neighbors truck was stolen from the park across the street from our house. He had his truck running while he was walking his dog in the park (at night) & someone drove off with his truck. They found his truck 2 weeks later in Cincinnati, at a Walmart parking lot where the snow plow driver is the only person who noticed it had been sitting there for 2 weeks, the only things missing were his gum & change. surveillance cameras show the guy getting out of the truck, he went into Walmart, & someone picked him up 1 1/2 hours later. WEIRD! Stuff like this doesn't happen around here so everyone is FREAKED OUT! I made Jim go out with Gracie in the middle of the night cuz I was spooked! I hate it! Obviously the guy yesterday wasn't worried about them recognizing him (everybody knows everybody here) so where are these people coming from??? They need to go away! UGH! The Sheriff thinks the 2 incidents are related - hopefully they catch them soon!!!!!
My co-worker & his wife (who are also friends of ours & huge dog lovers) are coming over tonight to see Gracie. Looking forward to it! Hope you are all having a great Thursday!!!

Oh, joy ... more snow to deal with. I saw a headline saying this will affect 100 million people.

According to that map all the snow is going to fall below where I live ~ I had heard we could get up to 3 inches. Stay safe, Merry!

I'm horrible gaging stuff like this:

I made chili Sunday night. It has been in a sealed plastic container in the fridge. Is it still fine to eat tonight?

This site should have the answer to that question. I was taught to use or freeze by the third day any foods containing meat.

I haven't decided what I am doing yet. I usually do soda, so that's probably what I'll do.

Going without beef is hard, but doable. I don't think I could go without soda. I don't chug gallons of the stuff by any means, but sometimes only soda will do.

I'd say it's okay to reheat it. Something homemade like that, I wouldn't go past 3 or 4 days just to be safe.

We're right now supposed to get 10-12 inches, but we'll see. That is just Sunday into Monday and they're saying this storm could bring snow into Wednesday, us seeing 18 inches here.
