Christmas Countdown - 2014

Absolutely - this was on Facebook, but I tweaked it a little bit. This is how I made it, & I wouldn't change a thing!: :smile:

Mexican Stuffed Shells
1/2 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 package low-sodium taco seasoning
8 ounces cream cheese
20 jumbo pasta shells
1 1/2 cups corn & black bean salsa
1 cup taco sauce
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 cup Monterrey jack cheese
For toppings:
3 green onions
Sour cream

Preheat oven to 350°.
In a pan brown the ground beef; add taco seasoning and prepare according to package directions. Add cream cheese, cover and simmer until cheese is melted. Stir together and mix well. Set aside and cool completely.
While ground beef is cooking, cook the pasta shells according to package directions; drain. Set shells out individually on cutting board or baking sheet so that they don’t stick together.
Pour corn black bean salsa on bottom of a 9×13 baking dish. Stuff each shell with 1-2 tablespoons of the meat mixture. Place shells in 9×13 pan open side up. Evenly cover shells with taco sauce. Cover dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, add shredded cheese and bake for 10-15 more minutes with the foil removed. Top with green onions or olives if desired. Serve with sour cream and/or more salsa!
Serves 20 shells

Im still here not to worry! We all get busy with personal stuff and thats what I was doing. Nothing bad, just busy with family. I'm back with my Christmas family here! Just popping by to say hi! Tonight William is sleeping over at the grandparents. Ash and I have an evening alone. This is our 2nd evening without William since he was born. Holy moly. Well off I go! Im going to try my best and be around more! I really miss all of you and miss being involved in everything!

Good morning!
I am heading out in a few minutes to go food shopping. I probably should have been there already, it's going to be crazy busy today. I still don't know how much snow we will be getting. I heard as little as 4 inches and then I heard up to a foot. So who knows, we'll see what happens. I'm really looking forward to the temperatures warming up a little bit. I had the dogs out back earlier and it is so darn cold!
Not too much else going on. Typical day of chores. I'm also going to visit my parents later this this afternoon for a little while. I hope everyone is well and has a happy Saturday!

Don't apologize! I agree!!! Grrr...
So glad they caught him, praying this is an isolated incident.

I will continue to pray for your friends parents, such a scary ordeal.

I remember when our home was broken into in Vegas, and I came home to it. I was so scared to shower or be alone after that, in fear of them coming back. I had panic attacks, especially when Adrian was out of town. That's when I took a handgun safety class, went to the shooting range for practice, and bought a firearm.

Thanks! And how scary for you! What stinks is we shouldn't have to feel like we need firearms in our homes for protection! Thanks to a few freaks, we do! UGH! I hope you never experience anything like that again!
Rumor has it the kid confessed to taking both trucks. Fingers crossed!

Good luck with Gracie and potty training! The only advice I have is find a treat that she loves (I used a small, soft training treat for Harlowe) and ONLY gave them to her when she went potty outside. I had them in my pocket, and immediately praised her & gave her special attention. But just be consistent about it, between you and your hubby, doing the exact same thing =]

Adrian bought the bells, but Har would just scratch on the patio doors to get to the backyard, lol.

Thanks! We do try to give her a treat every time, but we need to be a little more consistent. All the sudden I get outside & "shoot" I forgot to grab a treat. I have them sitting by the door she goes out. We took her blanket out of the crate & it was dry this morning. She seems to like not having a blanket. I think she's hot. The bells came yesterday, so we'll see how that goes. Right now they scare her. :lol:

Good for her! She will get the hang of her and before you know it, the bells won't even bother her.

It looks like the brunt of it may miss us, the last update I saw said 1-3 inches here.

Out here, AccuWeather is saying 1 to 3 inches; the meteorologist on Boston.com (who has called them pretty accurately this season) is saying 2 to 5, but is also saying he'll know more when he sees the models later today. I'm happy for us, but I feel bad for PA, NY, and NJ. They'll be getting what we thought we were going to get.

Good luck with the potty training with Gracie. We didn't do anything really special with Ella. We would just take her out frequently and it just clicked with her quick. I guess we were just lucky.

I thought I was going to have more time to catch up, but the morning is slipping away! I need to finish getting ready to go out with the lake neighbor ladies! Our candle lady messaged me last night & said our candles are ready too, so I'm going to stop & pick them up on my way. Some of them are for the lake neighbors so that worked out well. :smile: Other than that I have been hanging out with the poochies this morning....and snacking on the leftover no bake cookies from last night. Ugh! Can't keep my fingers out of them! Hubby took off early for a hair cut apt & haven't seen him since, so I assume he's at the farm. He is taking Gracie out loafing this afternoon. She should be a very social dog! Ha ha ha!! Buster had been enjoying the warmer temps today - he spent some time outside & is now napping! They are both napping! Geesh!
Weathermen are saying 5-7" of snow for us, 1/10" of ice & some sleet. I guess we'll find out! It's not supposed to start until later tonight.

Merry Morning! It is a beautiful ,bright, sunny morning here very fitting for the first day of March!! Hooray! The start of March makes me feel like a captain of a ship who has been sailing through treacherous waters and suddenly the sea is calm.

Realistically I know spring will not happen here for another few weeks for us (we may even get a cold snap/snow soon) but the days are longer and the sunlight seems somehow brighter.

I am working tomorrow so I am going to just take it easy today and catch up with family time.

I can't describe how excited I am for spring! Longer days, hopefully more sunshine and Easter. I love Easter!

I'm out of town again and have been for the past two and a half weeks. Heading back Monday evening and then don't have to go anywhere again till the first week of April. Best though is that I bought Bud's ticket home for the 15th. We're not telling anyone, not even our son. LOL It'll be a surprise for them!!

Last night Noah and I were watching Andy Griffith reruns on TVLand in the hotel. They had a Christmas episode. *headdesk* Got whompped by major PCBs except these were PRE not post. LOL. Too far.
