Went to the store and grabbed a few things, wasn't that bad. Bet it picks up after church!

Cold, windy, and rainy.....perfect day for Nascar. Made, did you watch qualifying?

I did. It's going to take some getting use to but it was pretty interesting.

Be careful out there, made! There was 3+ inches of new snow on the ground when I woke up this morning ~ that was the original forecast from a week or so ago. When I went to bed, the forecast was for only up to an inch. Mother Nature is having a good old time playing with all the meteorologists' minds. :lol: I love Arthur Christmas ~ enjoy!

Stay safe!!!! This one is still messing with the forecasters here. We got about 2 inches this morning but the second half is yet to come and keeps falling apart and then coming back to life.

I love Arthur Christmas too!! I really need to buy it for my collection.

Not much going on here. DH, the kids, and I made cupcakes after lunch, now we'll soon be heading up to his parents for his dad's birthday. It's actually not until the 6th, but it's the only time we can all get together before then. We're having dinner, dessert, and giving him a few little goodies!

Good morning friends. Lots of ice on the roads this morning and many of our local churches have canceled. I'm supposed to eat lunch with a friend who is loving to Nevada. I'm hoping we can still do it.

We still have a VCR that works too!

I just found out from Mr. today that our VCR stopped working a few weeks ago, so we ordered a refurb DVD/VCR deck to take its place. We still have plenty of VHS tapes, so it feels weird not to have a functioning player in the house. I rarely watch one, but I don't want to lose the capability!

Keep safe and warm where the snow and ice are accumulating. The snow is almost entirely out of our news here---the forecast is down to a coating to an inch. But I know that means someone else is getting it.

Just saw a news story about a man who won an $80,000 settlement in an age-discrimination suit against a school he worked for. One provision of the settlement was not to discuss it. But his college-age daughter bragged about the settlement in a Facebook post, saying that the school would be paying for her European vacation this summer … so the school's lawyers got the settlement tossed out. Ouch. Nice going, sweetie.

Well lunch with my friend didn't happen. It is "thunder" sleeting right now. Only in Oklahoma.

I am used the no sleep thing, but if it is getting really bad, I will take one. That usually only occurs a few times a year.

I hoped the sleeping pill ended up helping though.

Thanks sugar. It helped get me to sleep but the next day I woke up headachy and sluggish until it wore off. All better now.

Helau and Alaaf my friends......Helau is the Carnival Chant in my area.....Alaaf is the Carnival chant around Cologne.........Carnival is in fullforce and will have its last day on Tuesday.....Yesterday Kandice danced downtown in our hometown at the StreetCarnival.....lots of songs and dancing....singing and drinking....eating and just having fun....it was a great day......Today there are many, many parades in plenty of cities....and tomorrow the three biggest parades in Germany will be held in Mainz, Cologne (Köln) and Düsseldorf.........This year we are going to watch it....around 500.000 spectators gather the streets of Mainz every year to sing and dance and catch candy....that is being thrown by the parade participants......Kandice will be a little cowgirl....I might be a sailor...almost every spectator will have some type of costume.......I will take plenty of pictures and post em

those Uniforms are Fantasy Uniforms....they are a mockery of the Military and I guess stems from Occupations.....been done since the 1800s

I read about that last night!!!! I sure hope that she likes it at Starbucks!!! She's going have to work a lot of overtime to pay for that vacation now!!

I think I mentioned once before, we have a TV with the VCR built in. Nobody uses it, but it works just fine!

Our snowfall amount keeps changing too, we are down to 2 to 4 inches now. It's a big difference from what they originally predicted.
