Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high of 53 degree's!!! Woohoo!!!! We drop back into the 40's over the weekend but then we get close to 60 on monday and tuesday. Then the bottom falls out and it's back to winter by thursday. Boo!!!! I'm going to try and take advantage of the nice weather though and get a few things done outside today. Harbor freight is also having a big parking lot sale this weekend, so I think I'm going to spend a lot of time there. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Just a quick update on Maggie. The doctor says her lungs sound congested so we started her on an antibiotic, just in case she picked up an infection. They don't want to fiddle with any other medications at this point, until they're sure about what's causing the chronic coughing. I scheduled an echocardiogram for Friday so they can take a better look at her heart. I'll know more after the echo on Friday.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Woof. At noon yesterday I was suddenly beset by fever & chills. I went home, got in the bed, and didn't get up until 9 this morning. I came to work, but I'm still a little dizzy. And it 40° and raining, to boot. Blech.

I would have taken today off, too, but the boss is out of town and I'm still bucking for that promotion. We'll see, eh?

Snow day #4 is 1/2 way over....temps are above freezing, but the five inches of ice that we had just doesn't want to go away.

Cabin fever is setting in! Baseball season was supposed to start this week and I had my hopes set on watching a game or two this week...maybe next week!

Little Bambina and I are just hanging out....she took a bottle around 9:15 and I had to wake her up around 12:00. That little thing was snoozing hard. Now, she is squealing and watching Rudolph. Poor little girl's mind is going to be Christmas warped just like her Daddy's.

I'm off! I'm going to pick up the house and have it ready for Doc's arrival this evening! See y'all tonight before bed!

Happy Thursday, everyone! It's Lent again (already!), which means I'm already craving the chocolate that I gave up until Easter.

I work in a Doctor's office, and since a lot of the diagnostic numbers and forms are changing, we're getting new computers! We're so excited, as we're still using XP, which was getting sort of slow with the newer programs. So we decided on laptops for this time around, and shopped for the best prices (there are only 3 of us on computers, and we're all shopaholics). This morning, Yours Truly had the pleasure of commandeering the boss's credit card and making the purchases. They ran thus;

3 Toshiba Laptops; $1866.63
2 Claim Programs; $790.00
New Forms; $70.00 (for 1,000)

GRAND TOTAL; $2726.63

BONUS! Secretary getting a bug in her bonnet and calling Hubby to tell him she just spent 2800 dollars (and NOT telling him it wasn't his money).......

It wasn't exactly in my eye. It rather was at the inner side of the the eye lid but it's okey now. It happened the same with my other eye around three weeks ago which is very weird. But it's okey now. I hope it won't happen again.

Hi everyone...picked up a cold from my little grandson. Nothing serious, just annoying!
I took it as a good reason to lay on the couch and watch a Christmas movie this afternoon. (The Christmas Card)
It felt kind of naughty to just chill like that, but boy...did I need it!

another day done and .......
well, another day done.

Not very busy today at work, strange happenings, but funny, most of them. My right shoulder is very sore again, must have twisted it wrong or something. Cut two fingers at work. Forgot to give cash back twice (caught it right away ) had one lady mad at me because I wanted her to empty her basket on the counter. (you know those ones customers can carry for shopping rather than using a cart), asked me why I was working there if I was not capable of taking her items out of it myself. I am cleaning close to my till, keeping an eye on customers in case I am needed when supervisor gets on the load speaker and tells me to go to my till. At least that got all the cashiers and some customers laughing as I was right there! So I went and stood by my till, no customers to serve. Another cashier turned and wanted to know how long I planed to stay there with nothing to do. LOL
So, I am glad to be home.

I hope your shoulder is better soon and that your cuts heal quick! Hope you were able to get a good night's rest in, too! My day was awful ~ I was very sick all day. I do believe I have the flu. Somewhat better today ~ I was actually able to get on here and that helps!

My day was very interesting, we had a lot of shoplifters in at once, so we were all customer servicing them. We had a grab & run last night (I was off) and over $5,000 worth of Michael Kors purses were stolen. We had another attempt tonight, with a gentleman, but we all "customer serviced" him, made a few security pages, and foiled his plan. He purchased the merchandise, but will probably be back with switched tickets. It's part of my job to observe returns & stop things like this. Crazy.

That is a crazy night ~ glad everything worked out while you were there!

Is it me or the weeks seem to be flying by? What have you all got planned for weekend? I am working Sunday but will enjoy an easy, quiet time with the family tonight and tomorrow.

We have got Man of Steel to watch on our movie and picnic night. I plan on making my 24hour chicken wings.

Good morning!
It is going to be a little bit warmer today. We are already at 27 degrees this morning and will have temperatures in the mid 30's.
I will be dropping Maggie off for her echocardiogram this morning. I hate to leave her there but I know this test has to be done. I'm hoping they wont have her there too long.
Other than that, I will be working on a menu plan and grocery list for next week and going to the butcher. Then I'll be working on some chores around the house. I may go to the mall later this afternoon to birthday shop for my mom, I'll see how I feel. I'm a bit headachey this morning but I'm sure it will pass.

I had a horrible night of sleep, I've been up since about 3:30, I don't know why I couldn't sleep. Probably all the stress at work lately has something to do with it.

'Man of Steel' is a superb choice, guys. I enjoyed the movie so much! Although I was completely mentally exhausted afterwards because of the constant action going on in the movie so you have to stay focused to catch every bit of it. And I also think Henry Cavill looked HOT there as well. Ehem.


Despite the fact that there was an awkward moment when I got stuck in the middle of my presentation for like 10 seconds or so because I randomly forgot the essential word, it was very good and great fun. I was happy to write the highest marks for all group members in group evaluation sheet since my group was really great. We all worked equally and felt responsible for each other. And thank you for asking. I appreciate that.

Since our big debate is now over, I only have the last two assessments to submit next week, and that will be it until the exams. I am going to Glasgow tomorrow to get my first training for volunteering at the Commonwealth Games. It will take four hours but I am leaving in the morning anyway so I will be gone for pretty much all day. I am really excited about the training. Can't wait for summer already. ^^

We were talking about cats at work. One guy had gone away leaving his cat behind. When he returned the cat snuggled with him and the purr was deeper and longer than he had ever heard before. He learnt that it was the cat's way of drawing in his scent re-affirming their closeness. Amazing!

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

The Rattlesnake and Wildlife Festival is upon us! I have to get Jim's '57 Chevy cleaned up and ready for the parade on Saturday morning at 11. Then they crown the Snake Queen at 3pm. Ok, the title is "Rattlesnake & Wildlife Festival Queen", but we've always had a good time joking around with "Snake Queen". It just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?

But first, our church is having it's annual chicken BBQ plate sale. It's our big fundraiser for the year, so I have to be at the BBQ pit at 5am, flipping chickens.

I'm still trying to shake whatever it is that's making me feel bad, but it's not unbearable. I'll just have to make sure I don't handle any food tomorrow morning.
