Christmas Countdown - 2014

Hello all. Crazy week! Not a great one, but that's life.

Happy jumped on the counter yesterday and got the box of school fundraiser chocolate bars. He tore through the box and ate ten bars! He didn't get sick! The other dogs got a little and did get sick...we had to replace the comforter on our bed, along with some pillow cases and such. They are okay and the vet wasn't too concerned. It was quite the night.

We are off to the zoo. Hope everyone is doing great. Have a great Saturday!

The poor things. Your dogs do crack me up. Glad they are all okay now.

Christmas with the Kranks!



I feel loved when I am being picked on. Ha ha! At work we all pick on each other but we work really hard! We do have a lot of laughs while we are there. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Didn't mean to make you cry, but I knew it would mean a lot to you, but you're welcome.

I love, love, love that movie! The book that movie is base off of, is one of my Christmas favorites!

My co-workers and I are the same way at work. We have such a good time. I don't think I could work where I did, if we didn't have the relationship we all did. I love them!

I'm glad you got to meet Spanky. I saw him and met him briefly at a convention. In fact, I had a photo taken with him. I loved his no-nonsense attitude. Someone asked him if he resented having his life screwed up by being a child star. "I don't think I'm screwed up," he said. "I don't think I was ever screwed up!" If you ever saw his cameo on "Cheers," that's the real Spanky. And as you know, he was a born Texan.

What a rude question but a great response from Spanky! It's not like he was one of those child stars that ended up on drugs.

Apollo 13 is one of my favorite movies, it always brings tears to my eyes.

I saw that movie at the theater with my dad and grandma. When it was over my grandma said, "wow, that movie just wore me out"! She started laughing and said she felt like she was part of their adventure.

I took this earlier today. Bentley was playing with the Poland Spring wrapper again, he's so silly.

First time I seen this part in German! =)

Good Morning, Friends.

I'm counting on a good day today after storms and tornado warnings worried us yesterday.

And -- (ahem) -- speaking of counting:
Days to the Season: 228
Days to Christmas Day: 270

Four weeks from today - as the count numbers tell us - the 200-day Season Milestone will be reached, followed by a ONE-HUNDREDS level count.
(Can you believe it? 100's!!)
But the day before that is also a Milestone day - the 1/3 Christmas Day point.
Much to look forward to, and it all comes our way next month, which in turn begins the day after tomorrow.
(Gee! So much excitement just around the corner!)


Well, as stated above, Wake county and two other adjoining ones were under a tornado warning for over an hour yesterday evening as torrential rains fell. No damage here fortunately.
Now today is supposed to be calm and peaceful, then tomorrow Spring returns!
For now, we have commenced at a chilly 42 degrees.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's supposed to be a beautiful day here with a high in the 60's!! I'll take it after that rainy mess yesterday. Not a whole lot on the agenda today. Just babysitting the niece's, taking mom to the mall to try driving, and hopefully some nascar. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Today has been the perfect Spring Day! Wayne and I went out to the Arboretum and walked around for a couple of hours. Afterward we went to the lake, had light lunch and rode our bikes. We came home and grilled lots of veggies and hot links. We took the dogs outside to play for awhile. Now we are just chillin and watching a movie, Apollo 13.

The weather has been perfect - 75 degrees! I better enjoy it while I can, summer rolls around it will be a furnace outside!

Praying that the cats stay safe

I was just talking to my friend Reggie, and she said that a hawk tried to grab her dog Chloe yesterday :/ Luckily, they were right there, and she is ok.

It also goes for marriage too! Wayne and I cut up CONSTANTLY!!!! Every single day we are making each other laugh and I am happy for that. 10 years together and still acting like kids. Ha ha!

Snowflake, not sure how I missed it but just saw it in a reply from Sugar. That is scary about the hawk almost getting your friend's dog!!!

We have hawks here but seldom see them. It still frightens me for my 2 little dogs. Maris is safe since she weighs around 15 lbs.

We are going to be SUPER busy at work today! The weather is warm and everyone is out gardening! It's like a "Christmas" rush for us in the Spring. We have chicks, ducks, geese and lots of veggies plants in and the customers are keeping us busy. Pray for me to have LOTS of energy!!! =)

Yes, it is. We have a family of bald eagles nearby, too. Beautiful to watch, but keeps us on out toes!

Chloe is 15 pounds! That is what's so scary. So is Harlowe. And when I was walking her very early one morning, she was acting really nervous. I stopped & heard a pack of coyotes real close by. Needless to say, we high tailed it home!!
