Merry Tuesday! Happy April!!!!

My rose bush has bloomed two beautiful red roses, they are a vibrant pop of colour against the grey, dismal morning. I always look forward to the first blooms in my garden.

I woke up feeling a little unwell this morning. I have had a terrible stiff neck since yesterday and I am struggling getting things done especially lifting my little one. I was also feeling a bit nauseas and weak earlier. Anyway I am starting to feel better now although I know it will be a couple more days till my neck is back to normal. It usually is when it gets like this.

I have finished the laundry and tidying the house. Now I need to get some work done but I am finding it hard to focus. Maybe after a cup of tea.....

I will pop back in later . Have an easy going, stress free day everybody.

I can't believe it's April 1st already, the months are just flying by!
It's going to be sunny here today but the temperatures will not get out of the 40's.
I need to run to the supermarket this morning for a few things. I also need to stop at the pet store. Just a typical day of errands and chores.
Today is also the day that I will attempt to exercise again. I really hate to exercise and I never stick with it. It would be nice to lose a few pounds but I really need to do it for the health of it. Lately it seems like I'm tired after walking up a flight of stairs and that is not good. I have an elliptical, a treadmill and a stair climber in my house. I have no excuses. I just need to force myself to do it!

Thank you! It is horrible to even think about having to make that decision! He has been with us a long time! I think traveling back & forth to the lake, which opens this weekend, is going to be pretty tough on the poor guy!

We did not make it to Frankenmuth as her cable and phone went out yesterday and we had to wait around for the repairman to show up today. It was fun hanging out. We exchanged Christmas presents, too!

There was a big one in the yard across the street last spring/summer (I forget just when). The neighbor there told me there's a swampy area nearby, and the turtles sometimes crawl into the neighborhood looking for places to dig holes to lay their eggs. He's the one who warned me not to let a turtle get ahold of your fingers. Every once in a while you see one of the babies---I guess they're trying to find their way to the swampy spot. Sometimes they're in the street, but I'm afraid to handle even the little ones to move them to safety. There isn't a lot of traffic there, so they're not in much danger.

We carry the turtles across the street when there is no traffic behind us ~ even had to rescue a few frogs one time. My dad loved animals of all kinds and raised us to be the same way. There are a few people out here, not sure if they live in this area (I hope not ~ it is bad enough they drive down the road!), that deliberately try to run over turtles, frogs, whatever critter is in the road. A few years back my brother took a walk across the road where there are a lot of ponds and he found someone had tipped quite a few turtles upside down on their shells ~ the poor little guys were in bad shape. He put them right side up and left as they were so scared. That being said, I don't know what kind of turtles they were, nor do I pay attention to the ones that we help across the street as they are generally very little. We do wear gloves (thick ones!) to protect from germs and possibly passing something to whatever cats and dogs we had at the time. Safety first!

It was 58 & sunny here yesterday, today it started with rain, turned into snow, now 30 mph wind, and only 22 degrees... Brrr!!!

Flurries tomorrow, and Friday significant amounts of snow possible. Up to a foot, potentially :/ Hope they are wrong!

It was gorgeous out yesterday, today it was way too cold! Going to get colder and there are rain showers and possible snow showers in the forecast for the rest of the week. At least it didn't rain while I was out and about today!

Sweet!!! I'll just head outside on roller skates and open an umbrella!!! The wind should blow me there in no time!!!

Oh, my gosh, that reminded of when my mom, who weighed 95 pounds soaking wet, came home from work one day when it was raining and very high winds were blowing. She opened her umbrella up and literally blew by the window during an extremely strong gust of wind. It was funny and scary both! Thank God she wasn't harmed!

It was a busy afternoon at the office, but I had enough time to walk around the block twice after lunch. Nice, sunny day, about 50F---I even saw an ice cream truck roll by! This is the first time this year I could feel any warmth at all from the sun. Maybe spring is actually on the way!

I heard an ice cream truck yesterday for the first time this year! I'm glad you got to enjoy the sunshine today!
