Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning!
It's going to be partly cloudy today with a chance of showers, temperatures will be in the upper 40's.
I'm going to head out to Target after I finish my cup of coffee, I have a list of things that we need. My youngest has a doctor appointment after school and I have lots of chores to do. I also need to get on that darn treadmill again at some point today.

Everyone wanting Spring - well it has arrived in full force here. I never did mention but the Arboretum is in full bloom which at this time of year they call it, Dallas Bloom Festival.

I don't know why I have not taken a panned out picture of the field full of flowers but I took a few close ups. I have been taking mostly pictures of my grandchildren playing in the children's section. Here is one I took yesterday, I will take more next time. You will see this all over the Arboretum in many different colors. This should put you in the Spring mood!

Hi guys! I feel so out of the loop... gave up Facebook for Lent and haven't popped in for awhile. I had major winter overload for soooo long this year and it put a damper on my out-of-season Christmas spirit. The kids and I read a few Christmas books last night and I feel the spirit sparking a bit again! Hope you all are well.

We are itching for Spring, too- it has been a long & very chilly winter, and we miss being able to go outside. There is a storm warning starting tomorrow, and we could get 6-12 inches of snow going into Friday. I hope it's done after that! Ha!

Facebook would be easy for me to give up but would be hard to give up MMC! I pop in on Facebook everyday because of the notifications I get with messages, etc. Then read whatever shows up at the top of the timeline and out of there!

My out-of-season Christmas spirit is going strong. It usually don't hit full force until summer but came early this year. I hope you continue to visit us after Lent is over!!!

I am just organising a shopping list and meal plan for next week. I am listening to the Beatles and enjoying a cup of tea. My neck is killing me and it's kind of making it hard to focus on things. I have some work to get through in a bit but I don't feel like being on the PC.

I will! I just needed a Christmas breather because it's seemed so Christmasy for so long with the snow and cold and being cooped up! I haven't even been on my computer in weeks!

I hope you don't get much snow, snowflake! Or maybe just a dusting... It feels like a neverending winter, huh!? I just realized yesterday I have been wearing my winter coat since October this year! Sure got my money's worth, lol!!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, sort of...

I chipped a tooth a couple months ago, and today I have to go get a filling. I haven't had a filling since I was a kid. And I don't mind telling you, the though of that drill give me the heebie-jeebies. I'll have to stop by the house on the way to the dentist and get my big-boy pants.

Made, you'll appreciate that I fiberglassed the floorboard of the Camaro last Saturday. The big problem with older cars is rust, and the floors had little rust holes all over. Anyway, they're sealed with fiberglass, and this week I'm spraying the floor with rubberized undercoating. Then insulation, then carpet. It's nice to be getting something done on it for a change.

For all of you who are in the education field, does this type of bribery work for better grades? Ha ha! This is the message my grandson put at the bottom of the page to his teacher during a spelling test. He is quite a charming young man!

I think I will be going to work soon, LC's home sick today and I am still waiting to hear from my wife to see if she will be coming home early to watch him or I am staying home today. He woke up with a fever of 101.4, headache, and very congested. I wouldn't mind staying home, but my boss would just write me up for it. No such thing as family sick time there. :-?

If I am going in, I will be home earlier than usual, I am only scheduled until 8pm.
