Can you believe this, Yesterday 65 degrees! Right now, we have sleet bouncing off the back deck right now.... It's some crazy weather we are having this time of year!

I'm upstairs doing bills and sorting paperwork, etc.... Yup, it's a fun night! Think I'll turn on some Christmas music while I'm doing them to help pass the time along!

Christmas music always makes things more fun! It has been crazy weather here, too. Got rather cold last night so I watched "Twister". Palmer curled up on my lap and I was nice and toasty for a couple of hours.

Oh yea!! Believe me when I tell you this, but even with the temperatures up in the 70's this past weekend, I was going around the house, looking and thinking of ways that I could get the lights up on the house and also trying to figure out to where things would look right.

Just the other night, Lisa and I were talking, and in the conversation, she told me that she had been wondering where would be a good idea to set the tree up in the house this coming Christmas. I said I don't really know, then I said this, (what got me a look that you would have thought that I had antlers growing out of my head), I suggested that we get the tree out now and set it up, sort of like a dry run for Christmas and then we can move it around to where it looks the best..... Well, I thought it was a good idea; LOL!!!!

I think it was a good idea, too!
The reverse is happening here ~ my tree is still up as I have no place to store it at the moment. There are still a few ornaments on it, too, as I need to get another storage tote. When it warms up enough where I can rearrange things in the utility room, I can put my tree away.

Everything went perfectly, thank you--- and I don't have to have that test again for ten years, which I'm very happy about! The prep the day before was awful.

just over 2 hours to find out it is a simple infection...hot compress, advil and antibiotics.

Thank you! Just got word that Jay is moving to the step down unit today! They are super happy about that, though they really like the care he is receiving in ICU! Hopefully he will have excellent care in step down too! It's all good!

Good news! I will continue to pray for him!

My hubby just said last night "they are calling for rain again on Friday. Our garden is never going to be fit to be tilled" UGH! Nice to hear other people are able to get out there. I'm getting antsy!!! Have a great day CAH!

My garden is usually a bit further along in prep by now, too, but since I usually don't plant until the middle of May, there is still time. I haven't even bought any seedlings yet ~ need to do some shopping this weekend!

I am happy to report that the water level never rose to the point where pumping was necessary and has dropped significantly in the past 20 or so hours.

She is still in a lot of pain, but going to her chiropractic and physical therapy appointments. She has been having trouble sleeping at night, but tries to rest upright in the rocking chair. Her last adjustment seemed to help a little more, so I'm hoping that continues. Thank you for asking, CAH~

Another update:

Jay will be staying in ICU after-all. When they were getting ready to move him he went into Afib. They say this is not uncommon, but he gets to stay in ICU now. I'm so glad he's there!!! Still praying...

I am so ready to get out of work today. I could really take a nap! I just ordered a wireless fence for Gracie. I asked the vet about it last night, she said the sooner the better. She will have a little more freedom in the backyard & part of the front yard now - as long as she will obey it! xx Her vet apt went very well. She is 19.3 lbs! Where did that cute little 7.5 lb puppy go?? She was a little touchy last night, but nearly as bad as she was after her 1st round of the lepro vaccine. After work I am going to my sisters to let my nieces Golden doodle pup out! Play time for Gracie!! THEN I need to get cleaning for Easter. Fun, fun - oh, and a stop at the grocery! I started making a snack mix on my lunch, but need to buy some bugles to add to it - then I'll pour the seasoned oil over it! I'm making it in a garbage bag, (big batch) then I'll freeze some of it so I can pull it out as needed! Love it! Mmmmm!

Dude.

Nancy called to say that the car was a little slow to crank this morning, would I check it when I go to lunch. I had the battery tested and it was about dead, and a new one cost me $155. Grrr.

So I get home with the new battery, and I have to practically take the fenders off of the car to get to the old one. While I was installing the new battery, the cables slipped & touched each other, causing a big spark. When I finally had the whole car put back together, the car wouldn't start.

My brother came by and found that I had blown the main fusible link, so I had to drive to an auto parts store on the other side of town for that $5 fuse.

I installed the fuse, the car cranked, I made a sandwich and came back to work after two hours.

$155 and 2 hours. That's the most expensive turkey sandwich I've ever had. :-?

How frustrating, sorry about that Brad!

Pre-sale tomorrow at 10:00 am and I am already a nervous wreck! I just hope I get into the site as fast as I did last time. Fans get really ticked off when they try for hours, then finally get in and he is sold out. Then you go over to Stub Hub and there are 100's of them with inflated prices! I will NEVER do that again! They were a gift to me the first time but I was in charge of making the purchase. The cost was double above face value! Did that once and have not done it since. So I am crossing my fingers that I can grab a couple of decent tickets!
