Christmas Countdown - 2014

My daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren are in Galveston for the weekend so I will not see them for Easter. It will be a quiet Easter for Snow-in-Texas and I. Church in the morning then off to my job to feed the animals but we are closed to the public. I get to spend all the holidays with the critters! It is suppose to be rainy Easter but if it lets up we might take a bike ride and maybe a walk out at the Arboretum. Really not sure of the whole day yet, we just might relax and hang out at home!

I see all these pictures of everyone's furry kids. I need to post some of mine! =)

Morning all. I'm off work for Easter and taking my better half for a short break to wine and dine for a few nights! I hope you all have a wonderful and peaceful Easter.

Also, Ryan, sorry to read your sad news, my deepest sympathies are with you and your family.

Can we have cycled back to the final day of the work week so soon?

The calender don't lie.

And neither do our numbers:
Days to the Season: 209
Days to Christmas Day: 251

And just look. SINGLE DIGITS to the 200-day Season Window and barely over a single week until the 1/3 Christmas Day marker.
(Wow! Amost gives one a "Home Stretch" feel, doesn't it?)


Still coolish yesterday but not as cold as Wednesday was. And it was calm and sunny.
Should be a nice one today before heavy rains begin to fall just in time to dampen Saturday. (Oh, well. There's always Sunday.)
Today has begun here in central NC at 42 degrees under clear skies.

I'm hooked on Groupon! This is the first time I have actually bought merchandise from them but we always get our restaurant discounts through them. Been doing so for years. We have an app on our phone so no printing up the certificate, you just purchase it and show the coupon at the counter. We go to so many restaurants and only pay 10 bucks for a $20.00 gift certificate. Not a bad deal to dine out at a restaurant for 2 for only 10 bucks! Plus tip, of course! Yes, we do tip appropriately the percentage as if we spent 20 bucks. =)

Amazon Local Deals have the same thing but not as much of a selection. The problem with them is when you buy a certificate it is not effective until the next day. Groupon you can buy and use as soon as you purchase!

You usually have up to 3 months to use them too so we sometimes stock up!

Hello and Happy Friday!
It's still going to be on the chilly side today, we will have a high of 45 degrees. We will climb in to the 50's over the weekend so it should feel a bit warmer.
I am just finishing up a menu plan for next week and then I'm going to head to the butcher. Not too much else planned for me today. I called to check the status on my daughters prom dress and was told they should be getting it in a few days. I may take my daughter shopping for a pair of shoes this afternoon since she will need them for the alterations. I made her hair appointment yesterday but she still has to decide where she wants to have her makeup done. Maybe we could do that today too. This school year is flying by, prom will be here before we know it!

So sorry to hear of your loss, Ryan.

Haley reminds me SO much of the little poodle we had when I was a toddler. Seeing her really takes me back in time!

Hello all. I'm sorry I've been away. I hope everyone is doing good.

My wife's grandpa passed yesterday so we are busy with funeral preparations. It will be tomorrow at 2:00. Thank you all for the prayers.

I'll be around more after tomorrow.

Here's a pic of my friend...this is my in-law's dog Haley. She is a sweetheart and I spoil her every time I'm here. It's no different then how it is everyday for her because she is always spoiled!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a decent day today with a high in the 60's. There is going to be lots of running for me today. I need to go to shopping to get a few things, then mom has a doctor's appointment to have her blood level checked again, and then we are going out to eat for my niece's birthday tonight. She is 6 today. It's amazing how fast she is growing up. Well I better get my chores done around here so I can get started. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!
