Christmas Countdown - 2014

[Holiday]

Good morning MMC! Rainy morning here in Ohio! Rains supposed to quit around noon or 2:00! Hope it does! Noon is good with me - that's when I get off work!

We are heading to the lake tonight. Tomorrow night we have a birthday party for our niece/nephew. Sunday for lunch we have a birthday party for our friends son. My hubby is his Godfather....and I'm hoping to get a lot of walks/bike riding in between there! Supposed to have temps in the 60's all weekend. Gracie will be excited to head to the lake again to see all her friends! Lol!

Hope you all have a fun/relaxing weekend planned! Have a great FRIDAY! I'm off to read posts!!!

Good evening, Holiday! Hope you're day got better. It's always bad for me too, when I don't have my coffee. Hope Gracie does well with her training - I'm sure she will!

Thanks! It did get better! Instant coffee saved the day & I had a real coffee in the afternoon. LOL!

My mom, granddaughter and I went out for lunch then headed to the Arboretum for a little bit. We had a nice day!

It was a nice night. Except my neighbor wasn't feeling good & didn't walk b/c they are leaving today for the weekend. Hope she is better today! I did end up stopping at a friends house at mile 4 to help her with a puter question & we had a cocktail...Thirsty Thursday! Lol!

I hope so too! Sick of the high electric bills!

I agree!! Hope this is your last high bill Made! Although our electric bill is about to get high b/c of AC, but then the propane bill should be close to zilcho!

It is nice to see a public figure doing the dirty work around his town.

The companies around here that do the public works jobs usually have 3 or 4 guys standing around watching one guy working.

Are you sure you don't live in Ohio!? Lol

We have our electric fireplace going tonight, it is suppose to drop below freezing tonight, again.

Waiting for the free extra hockey to begin, yep, we're going to OT.

Six Flags was fun, we didn't stay too long, just had to activate our season passes and hit a few rides.

We also did some summer clothes shopping for the boys, and went to a Hallmark in that area. They were selling ornaments and decorations for 90% off, I bought 3 ornaments and a Charlie Brown decoration for just over $8!!!! I was thrilled, I probably would have had more luck if I didn't have such a bad headache at the time. I will post pictures soon. I also asked the women working if they had any Dream Books yet, and she was happy to get me one out of the back stockroom. Usually the old ladies who work there protect them like they are gold, but these women were younger and smiled when I asked for one. I am thrilled about my bounty from Hallmark.

We will visit my grandparents on Saturday instead. We just ran out of time today because JP had baseball practice tonight also.


BRUINS WIN!!!!!! WOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOO!!!!! I love playoff OT hockey!!!!

Back to work tomorrow, and Saturday off.

Good morning Snowflake! TGIF!!!!

Good morning!
It is going to be partly sunny with a high of 55 today, we are currently at 41 degrees.
I will be working on daily chores this morning. I also need to finish a menu plan and grocery list for next week. I will probably go to the butcher this morning and do the rest of my food shopping over the weekend.
We picked up my daughters prom dress yesterday and we have a big problem. We were told they would be ordering her a size zero and they ended up getting her a size 4. The dress is huge on her. I'm not sure what we are going to do. I left the store in tears, the owner was beyond rude and abrasive. The dress will have to be reconstructed. The gown is heavily beaded and I'm afraid the alterations will have an impact on the pattern of the beading and the look of the dress. Not to mention the cost, it will be hundreds of dollars in alterations on top of what we paid for the dress. It was also a special order and final sale. I may head back there this afternoon with my husband but I know this women is not going to be accommodating. I feel bad for my daughter. She waited two months for this dress to come in, only to be disappointed. Wish us luck!

I am so sorry that happened with her dress!!! They normally order 1 size larger than needed & then alter (or they did for the weddings I was in) but that is terrible!!! I hope they can fix it correctly - at their expense! Very frustrating!!!!!

Ok, I keep thinking about this, and I am furious for you!
They should be apologizing & in the least offering to credit you & take care of any alterations in full!! Oh my gosh, what terrible customer service! Do you have a receipt/order of the dress? Does it say size 0 on it? If so, I would say I understood my sale was final but since I didn't get what I ordered, ****!!!!

Merry Friday! I hope everyone is doing well because I have not had chance to catch up with posts. It's been a hectic morning with errands, cleaning and laundry. My youngest and I also went bird watching after the school run We were lucky because it is now pouring rain.

Anyway my youngest is having a nap and chores completed so I now need to get some work done.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's been a rainy morning here but it should move out soon and then the wind is supposed to pick up. Fun!!!!! My sister was upset that I only was only making one cake for the cake walk tonight. So I got up this morning and made up a batch of cupcakes to take too. Now I just have to figure out how to decorate them. I also need to clean up the mess I made while making them. I'm always amazed when I watch these cooking shows and the hosts never get anything on them. I guess I'm just a messy cook. Then this afternoon I have to get some laundry done and make out my grocery list before heading out to the carnival this evening. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are so sweet, buddy. That was very nice of you to take the extra time like that after you had already done a kind deed! You have the Biggest heart!

Good Friday morning. ha, I have been having the most difficult time of trying to spend some time here...Work has been out of this world! I mean last year, I had all the time in the world to do whatever I wanted because we were slow, but so far this year: WOW, we got work beating our doors down to get done.

Now, I'm working on a project, where, when I conduct any field visits there, I cannot have any electronic devices on me at all, I have to be escorted everywhere and I cannot have any contact with anyone, sign a non-disclosure statement and once I enter thru their doors, I lose all contact with the outside world. The place has 3 letters and starts with the third letter in the alphabet; if you get my meaning here....

Can you believe that next week is the beginning of May already? Just think about this for a minute, in about more 7 weeks, it will be the longest day of the year and then we will start to loose time and the days will start getting shorter..... sure gives me pause to think, where is the year going???? before you know, we will be watching Christmas in July again on QVC.....Binger, Sugar, Made are you ready:

Going to see doctor at 5pm, my sinuses felt like they were going to explode. They still hurt even after a dose of sinutab extra strength, it hurts to wear my glasses.
I have no energy. The cough is getting better (must be all that practice!)
Do not get sick often, but when I do I do a good job of it!

Evening my lovely Christmas family. I hope your day is turning out to be a good one. It is evening here and I am just starting dinner.

I managed to get a little work done which I am happy about. However I had to cut it short to pick my other son up from school and when we got home I discovered a curious situation in my kitchen. Water is seeping through the floor tiles. So I guess that's our weekend plans sorted!

There must be some sort of leak or something under the floor.....I don't know. It will all have to be rooted up I guess. Mr. Festive will ofcourse want to do this himself. I have to go into work on Sunday so I hope this isn't going to be a major disruption.

I hope you all have a free and easy weekend soaking up family, friends, fun and whatever else you have planned.

Speaking of - does anyone like the Bud Light Lime-a-Rita's? Did you see they now have an 18 pack of "Mix-A-Rita's." It contains a mixture of Lime, Strawberry, Mango, & Raspberry! Of course I had to pick one up to bring to the lake!
