Today is my wife and I's, 12 wedding anniversary. I can't believe it's been 12 years already. She surprised me with a new Bruins hat as a gift, she knows I have been looking for a new one for a while now.

I am ready for sleep now, one of the busiest, exhausting weeks of the year at work is upon me.

Merry Monday!!! I hope everyone had a good weekend and you are all ready for the week ahead. I have a busy day planned so I hnly browsed the last page of posts. Praying for all in the path of bad weather.

I am just having a quick coffee. I have just put on some laundry but that will have to be it for housework today because I have a lot of work to get through. I need to stay focused today , it is so easy to get distracted when you are on the computer......

oh dear I just opened the news and I am reading about the tornado. I was at work yesterday and didn't have time to look at news.

Praying that everyone is safe and comes through this without any harsh impact. Also praying for all that have unfortunately been hit with negative effects. Such a scary thing!!!!

At the start of the year I had planned to try to keep up with this thread and follow some of the conversations taking place, but it moves way too fast for me!! I haven't posted for a while but I still visit often and just LOVE the Christmas spirit that abounds. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Good morning!
I just turned CNN on and am starting to see the footage of the tornadoes that hit last night. My thoughts and prayers are with all who are affected.
It is going to be sunny today with a high of 63 degrees. I'm going to get out and enjoy the weather while I can. Rain will be moving in by tomorrow and will be here for most of the week. I think I will take my walk today at a lake that is nearby.
My daughter has a routine doctor appointment early this morning. Other than that it will be a typical day for me. I have a couple of errands to run after the doctor appointment then back home for daily chores.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
 
Did my mom really just wake me up and have me searching all over the house for her car keys that were in her coat pocket the whole time?

Weekend Eve, the weekend itself and not one but TWO back-to-back Milestones.
Whew! Do we need a rest!

And oh! Doesn't that 199 look niiiice!
(Makes us seem so much closer, doesn't it?)

Super weather continues but not for much longer.
Rain is predicted for most of the week ahead.
Oh, well. The bad weather just makes us appreciate the good that much more.
Currently, our back yard thermometer reads 58 degrees to start off the new week.

Second travel alert of the new year for the Crowns.

We are voyaging to our coastal cottage early Wednesday morning to start preparing it for the rental season which begins in June.
As such, a loyal, intrepid and dependable Countdown Volunteer will be needed for three mornings: this coming Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
