I wish I had more Will power!
We made a spreadsheet of my village pieces, and I'm up to over 80 houses/businesses, and over 80 accessory pieces/people as well.
Adrian said I support what you love, but asked when I planned to quit adding on, and I don't. Ha! But we're running out of storage room. And we have a good sized home! I will scale back & be more selective, for sure.
Right now, we only put out 1/3 of it over Christmas, and it takes a few days.
I'm holding out for a large buffet, that wraps around an entire room! =]

I bet your village is beautiful! And that you can't wait to put out your new collection!

With me, I just hate to keep buying stuff if I never get all of it out every year. I am like you and running out of room for storage. The only thing Wayne and I must buy every year and it's our tradition that we both look forward to is buy our annual Christmas ornament for the tree. This year I think we will buy our annual Christmas ornament when we go to New York City! Wayne and I enjoy looking at Christmas goodies for sale and he is usually the one that says, "if you want it, get it"! Ha ha! I tell him I don't have room! =) So we just look and admire neat Christmasy things! I guess going to the stores is more like a museum experience, just look but cannot buy anything.

Dark and rainy today. The forecast calls for drenching thunderstorms. Various parts of the state have been slammed by violent thunderstorms this week, but they've missed us so far. After today the weather is supposed to improve.

I am not going to be able to catch up on post right now. Every time I get on here I have to leave the computer, I have a lot going on today. Finishing up on some videos for church and need to get my AC fixed. Thankfully it is actually cool out this morning!!! That never happens in July, usually wake up and it's already hot out. I am enjoying these milder temps for sure!

The grandkids and I are having a Christmas in July cleaning party. I fixed them all hot cocoa and put them in Christmas mugs, got the music going from Sounds of the Seasons, lit the pumpkin candle and even still have my red, white and blue "Christmas" lights on (leftover from 4th of July) and cleaning up! My granddaughter said, "I love you grandma and will help you with cleaning". They are so sweet! We are usually on the go, go, go having fun, fun, fun so today we just need to catch up on a little cleaning and the kids are actually having fun! We are taking a little break and in a little bit plan to build a tent in the livingroom and have some lunch.

I hope everyone is having a Merry Day!!!

I try to do little things like this with DD every once in a while. Sometimes we have picnics in the living room & watch either Disney or Christmas movies. I would love to have you for a Grandma!

I loved seeing all of the musicians in it too. It was a pretty good movie!!!

I started this movie last night & I'll watch a bit of it at a time over the next few nights. It looks to be a good movie.

It´s old news now....But since Sunday.....germany is Football (Soccer for the North Americans) World Champions!!!!! Campeones!!!! I tell You people......we were all ecstatic!!!!due to the time difference, it was exactly 11:36pm when the game ended! We watched the award ceremony....screamed and cried a little.....packed up the kids and drove into the city to celebrate with everybody.....cars and cars and cars decked in black, red and yellow.....people on the streets everyone....jumping, shouting, dancing....shooting up fireworks......of course my city only 80000 citizens.....but the way it was over here in my hometown....it was the same in each and every village, town and city in Germany!!! Today our team arrived back in Berlin and drove through the city in an open truck and were welcomed by thousands and thousands of people. Then at the Brandenburg Gate 500.000 Fans of "Die Mannschaft" welcomed our heroes....World Champions for th 4th time now......1954, 1974, 1990 and now 24 years later 2014

Now Kandice wants to add Soccer to her routine....lol

Hi to everyone by the way......The World occupied me so so much.....I was tired all the time.....just recovering now a bit

We watched The Santa Clause 2 today....Kandice´s request.....she kinda got a little cold with a slight fever....all fine now...she´ll go to school tomorrow....was at home Monday and Tuesday.....I think celebrating our World Cup win in the city wearing her jersey and shorts got her sick a little....it wasn´t really cold...and she wore a sweatshirt underneath her jersey....but her legs were just ion shorts....so it might have been a little fresh for her.....She told me today....that she was so so so happy when Germany won....that she almost cried........I told her, so did I......I actually cried a bit today seeing the joy on the player´s faces.....especially Miroslav Klose who played his fourth World Cup and is now World Cup Top Scorer of all time.......as well as Bastian Schweinsteiger who at 29 years already played three World Cups....and who knows....might have been his last chance to win it, too.......to see those guys who played their hearts our for us standing on the pitch, crying and crying and smiling and crying.....so so beautiful

:cold: It was 56º here this morning & I thought that was too cold!!!

It was crazy last night, torrential rain, thunder & lightening. But thankfully it ended fairly early so we slept well. More storms are expected today, typical summer weather. Can't wait for Fall!!!

Then, the first of our double-digit counts.

Well, we picked up the predicted rain yesterday but it remained rather humid.
Now, today is supposed to show a reduction in that factor and a nice day is anticipated.
We have started off this mid-week day at 74 degrees.

I'm probably going to be on the run again today. My mother has a routine doctor appointment this morning and I promised her I would go to keep her company. Then I plan on taking my daughter dorm shopping. I have list that's a mile long of all the things that she needs. It's like she's moving out in to her own apartment. Well I guess I can't compare that little dorm room to an apartment but she needs soooo much stuff. We have to start buying things! That's about it for me today, I'll pop back in later this afternoon. I love Fall/Harvest decor. I am trying to keep it under control and not get carried away like I did with my Christmas stuff. I can put all my harvest decor out in a few hours.

Christmas takes several days and never manage to get ALL of it out. I only put out about half of it every year. Every year I talk about getting all my family involved, bringing over my daughter, son-in-law and grandkids to come over to get all my decorations out and have a decorating party. My village alone take a couple of days and my ex mother in law is planning on giving me her entire collection!!! Oh my! I don't know where on earth I will be able to display it all but I will not pass it up! It's so much work then spending a long time putting it all away! I have a closet filled to the top, my attic and spare room filled with stuff.

I just love the new stuff you got! Very pretty!

I think a decorating party sounds like a GREAT idea!! It does take a long time to get everything Christmas out!!!! Hope you are having a good day!

I watched Angels Sing and DVR'd it. I told my wife that I think this is going to be one of my annual favorites, and that says a lot. It's got a whole bunch of Austin musicians in it, which is my old stompin' ground.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day with a high in the mid 70's. Not much going on here. Just doing my normal cleaning and watching HSN. I've been impressed so far. It hasn't been the same 5 items over and over and over again like normal. They are keeping up their trend of coming up with their own version of everything that QVC sold last year though. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

I dreamed last night that Made came to visit! It must've been something I read yesterday that reminded me that you visited Snowflake. Yep, I introduced you to Nancy & the kids, and Bernie & Hilda, then I took you on a tour of Bellville (it was a short tour LOL). I guess you need to become our ambassador, Made!

It is hot & muggy this morning, overcast and dreary. But I have a hot cup of coffee, and I have pictures from our trip to the mountains rotating as my desktop background, so it's all good.
