We tried everything, my brother in law said it was "fried." We went out and bought a new laptop today, we do all of our banking on it, and with my wife being a teacher it was something we sort of need. Thank goodness for plastic. cheesy

Well, dad may go home from the hospital today. He is excited...he wants to get home to his dogs...and his good tv with netflix. Even when he has been out of it he has realized the hospital tv isn't any good. it's been a sore spot with him.

His wish was to go home again and it looks like he will so we are excited.

Good evening,

Just breaking in the new laptop with the place it will be on the most, it is a little aggravating to have to spend more money on new one, but hey let's make lemonade! cheesy I downloaded all of the updates and security while doing setup. I am just frustrated, I lost hundreds of songs, mostly Christmas, with the old laptop gone.

Sometimes data can be recovered from a dead laptop---you may want to check with a repair shop to see if your music and bookmarks can be recovered before you consider them lost. I hope yours can!

Good morning! Whewww, we dodged a bullet last night, we sat back on the porch last night and watched those wicked thunderstorms, just blow over our house and they hit East of us. So we only got just a little bit of rain out of it. There was some pretty wicked lighting with that storm that we saw on the horizon that gave it a neat show from our perspective.

Not much happening here with me today, I'm in between projects, so it should be a pretty quiet day today before I head to DC tomorrow morning. Have to look at a job at the ATF headquarters in DC tomorrow morning, then it's back to the office and hopefully an early weekend.

tonight, we have appointments to go back for a 2nd showing at two homes that we are interested in, tonight we are taking the kids with us for their opinion, see what happens....

Morning all!!:hi: Its 10.20am and already its so warm!! another hot day for us today!! Filled the girls pool yesterday so got a feeling they will be spending the day in it again!!

Ive got the usual chores to do before heading out to work later! am on countdown to finish now though!! ha!! only 7 shifts left to work in my current job!! Ill miss it, but Im so looking forward to working through school hours and spending more time at home with the family rather than going out at 3pm just as everyone is coming in!!

Yesterday was such a hot day! We just had sandwiches and chips for dinner. We watched an old VHS tape we have of "intermissions"---things they used to play at the movies and drive-ins between movies to get people to buy popcorn, soda, and other snacks. (Have you heard the Internet term "food porn"? I think those were the FIRST food porn!) After that, I had to get up and make popcorn! And it was goo-ood, too.

Should be a quiet day at the office. Only three of us in here; the rest are at an offsite meeting. I'm covering the phones and the front desk, and two others are getting some work done while it's quiet. It's a nice change! I brought my laptop so I can work on Christmas shopping lists and such. (The people who generate the stuff I proofread are out today.)

Good morning!
I'm taking a break from the dorm shopping today but it's still going to be a busy day. My middle daughter and I are going to look at a school that she is interested in. It's actually the same school her older sister looked at a couple of weeks ago. I wish she would have come with us then, it would have saved me from making the trip twice. Anyway, the dogs also have a groomer appointment this afternoon and I have a couple of other errands I have to take care of. And of course I'll be working on my daily chores when I find the time!

Very warm and muggy yesteday with our highs creeping up into the mid 90's and the humidity again elevating.
A nice day or two is just ahead though, as promised by the weather service.
Right now, we stand at 78 degrees here in central NC.

Good evening, MMC!

I hope everyone had a good day and is doing well.

Things have been better here. My dog Shaggy passed away early this morning and I am heart broken. :sad: He was the happiest of dogs and would rather have a hug than eat. He was almost 17 and lived a good life, but it seems like only yesterday that my brother found him in the woods. I am going to miss him so much!

I need to watch a few Christmas movies tonight, but first I need to do a few chores.
