Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:

• Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County

Conditions will be favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms from late this afternoon through about mid-evening. Thunderstorms that develop may be capable of producing wind gusts to 100 km/h, hail 2 to 4 cm in diameter, and rainfall in the 50 to 75 mm range. There is also a low chance of a brief tornado.

By late this evening, the severe weather threat is expected to diminish, however showers and isolated thunderstorms, with associated heavy rain, may continue through the overnight hours in some areas.

Tornado warning in effect for:

• Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County

Updated or ended by 7:49 p.m. EDT.

At 6:35 PM EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are monitoring a thunderstorm that may be producing a tornado. Reports of a funnel cloud with a possible touchdown near Millbank have been received. Damaging winds, large hail and torrential rain are also accompanying this thunderstorm.
This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately.

Lots of scary weather going on, there was a funnel cloud spotted 2 towns over earlier today, had a pretty wild thunderstorm about 90 minutes ago. Supposed to continue through the overnight into tomorrow.
Give me a snowstorm over this any day.
