It's pretty dark and murky out there today. There are storms and heavy rainfall in the area, and it looks (and sounds---there's the thunder) like we're going to get some of it.
We passed up the turkey dinner leftovers yesterday. It was hot, so we just made some sandwiches. We're going to have the leftovers today for a late lunch/early dinner. (Scary-sounding thunder!) Looking forward to that! And another slice of coconut cake.
I hope you're enjoying your Sunday!
Good afternoon,
It's the last day of my vacation, (I should have another vacation in 3 more weeks though) I have enjoyed my vacation very much and really don't want to head back to the place that shatters all dreams. I did say after my vacation I would restart focusing on looking for a new job, I have 3 prospective companies that keep e-mailing me so I think I will look into those a little more seriously now.
I hooked up the new printer to the computer earlier so now, I am just going to rest and relax the rest of the day.
I'll, like normal, will be in & out the rest of the day.
Enjoy the day.
Thanks, buddy! We are!!
Hope you are, too!!
In such a Fall mood!!
It's in the 70's & beautiful out. Loving the breeze blowing in.
xx
Lots of scary weather going on, there was a funnel cloud spotted 2 towns over earlier today, had a pretty wild thunderstorm about 90 minutes ago. Supposed to continue through the overnight into tomorrow.
Give me a snowstorm over this any day.
My vacation is coming to an end, almost time to fall asleep for my first day back tomorrow. I really don't want to go back.
I remembered another one of my favorite Christmas sites tonight:
uglychristmaslights.com
The site is in "hibernation" right now, but it is pretty funny.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.
Good night, everyone.
Good evening!
I'm just popping in quick to say hello and say thanks again for all of the Happy Birthday wishes. I had a nice day with my family, they gave me some great gifts which included six new Keepsake ornaments (I know you guys would appreciate those) and we also went out to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner. I have to turn in now because my daughters surgery is early tomorrow morning. I'm sure I won't be around until she's back home, settled in and resting comfortably. I would appreciate it if you would keep her in your prayers. Thank you so much. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their evenings.
Goodnight and sweet dreams!
xx

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!
It's supposed to be super hot today, then back down to the low-to-mid-90's for the rest of the week.
We had a good weekend. Friday I had such a "crick" in my neck, that I wound up with an awful headache, but it cleared up for the rest of the weekend. Yesterday afternoon I vacuumed the pool, then soaked for an hour. Ahhh.
Today at noon I'm going to a meeting at our local hospital. I think they're considering closing it, and I'm going to support it remaining open. My cardiologist told me that, if they hadn't stabilized me for transport to Savannah a couple years ago, I wouldn't have survived the trip. So, I have a vested interest in keeping the hospital open. I think their biggest problem is too many people on the admin staff with super-huge salaries. Oh well.
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
Hope you enjoyed the day!
It's always tough when a vacation comes to an end! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much though...good luck with your job search!
It's CHILLY this morning!!! I had to close the window here at work.
:cold:
Hope you stayed safe!
Hope your day at work goes better than expected!
Good Morning, friends~
Happy Monday! Hope the kickoff of your week goes well~
Wishing you a blessed day!!

Good Morning, Fellow Milestone Approachers.
And yes, we are indeed closing in on yet another of the many interesting Milestones on our journey toward Christmas Season 2014.
First, the start-of-the-week numbers:
Days to the Season: 108
Days to Christmas Day: 150
And the discerning among us will quickly determine that we will arrive at the 100-day Season marker one week from tomorrow, after which a double-digit Season count sequence will commence with the usual result - a quickened pace towards our long-coveted Christmas Season.
It was rainy and humid yesterday but we were able to dodge enough raindrops to enjoy a tour of the NC State University campus where my younger niece will be starting next month.
More rain is possible today but then a nice clear, lower humidity rest of the week is predicted.
We are starting out just under 78 degrees at this hour in the capital city.
Have a Marvelous Monday, dear Friends.
And here's hoping your work week is off to a fantastic start!
Hi Everyone!!
I am back, I have my own laptop now so I can get on here more often.
YAY!!!!
Hello everyone. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for my dad. He is in the hospital as he was bleeding awful from an incision that had been made during his previous hospital visit. He is doing better.
I hope everyone has a great Monday! We are having another unseasonably cool cold front come through this week! I'm excited!
Me likey!!!

Wow, HEAVY rain! It was pouring down the outside of the windows here at the office---and then raindrops started pattering INSIDE the window! There's a leak somewhere high up in the window frame. I had to quickly remove my stuff from the windowsill and get some paper towels in there. Happily, not much water came in, but I'll have to keep an eye on it during the heavy thunderstorms expected today.
The weather service was reporting a severe thunderstorm with heavy rain, heavy winds, and pea-sized hail over my home town shortly before that ... I hope everything is all right back home.
I hope your Monday is going more normally!

Isn't that crazy?? End of July & not 1 day of temps in the 80's in the 10 day forecast!!?? Scares me for winter...
Good morning MMC! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend!
We had a fun Christmassy weekend at the lake! Friday night we went caroling to the neighbors trailers. Saturday we went to a festival where I bought my 1st Christmas presents for the year! YAY! Saturday night was our Christmas dinner & white elephant exchange. It went good, but there are always a few scrooges! Ah well! After the exchange, 5 of us girls went back to our trailer to watch Christmas Vacation!! One of the ladies (66 years old) has NEVER seen it before!!It was fun to watch it with someone who was seeing it for the 1st time!!
Yesterday we had some wild weather come through. We were eating breakfast outside at the neighbors (under their awning) when it started POURING & then hailing! But no damage that we know of. It rained off & on ALL day. I stayed at the lake all day with Gracie & my sisters dog who I was dog sitting for. Figured it would be a muddy mess at home! I watched 2 episodes of Little House on the Prairie Christmas, The Answer, The Gift, & part of The Joyful Hour. I was trying to get everything cleaned up, put away & head towards home before a wicked storm was coming last night...but I didn't make it! It was raining & blowing SO HARD I could barely see the lake. I couldn't pull up the weather on my phone, our dish went out - hubby wasn't answering his phone....and here I sat in a trailer!! BUT it went through & all was good. Just a few downed branches. Got home & Gracie definitely found the mud!!! She's going to be chained in the front yard until it dries up...or we'll move to the lake. What a mess!!!
Have a great day everyone!!!
Hope your day improves, MerryCarey!
Stay safe & dry! And hope that your belongings do, as well!

Thanks, Buddy!!!!! I do too!!! One of the other ladies quit so she has been trying to do 2 desks worth of work. So hopefully it doesn't wear her out to much.
I hope it's not too much for her! xx Keep us posted!
It is!!! They said if the forecast holds true that this will be the coldest July ever.
As much as I'm enjoying the cooler temps now, I'm worried about this winter too. I don't need another season of heat bills that are double or triple what they normally are.
Sounds like a fun weekend expect for the storms!!!! Glad nothing got damaged though and that everyone stayed safe!!!!!
LOL!!!! Gracie looks like she had a lot of fun!!!!!
Now the sun is shining. Go figure!
Forgot to mention - last week we caught a mouse in our trailer. Never in 10 years have we had a mouse in our trailer at the lake. And then we catch one in July??? This morning I come into work & guess what?? There is a mouse in the trap here!! WTH??!! My boss said maybe the mice know something (about the weather) that we don't! UGH!!!
On a side note - here is the front of our trailer decorated for CIJ! I didn't go all out this year...but I put up a few easy things:

Exactly! We are getting ready to pre-pay our propane. Hopefully we order enough for the winter b/c I don't want to be paying $4.50 a gallon like we had too last year. Booooo!
