Long slow night at work, I am feeling somewhat better, just this killer sore throat that won't stop.



Winding down listening to some 'Quo, I do have to be up early and I have been so out of it with being sick the last few days.



My wife talked to my grandmother tonight, she said she doesn't sound too well. It is hard since my g-ma is tough as nails and a fighter, she refuses to have any novocaine or laughing gas when she has dental work, this is very hard to deal with, she has always been the true leader of our whole family.



I should probably will myself to sleep, 545 gets here way too soon.

Morning MMC!!! 139 days until christmas!!!!! crikey!! think I need to start planning, going to start looking at what gifts the girls want and start picking bits up!!

Well I left my job last friday, my work friends got me the biggest bunch of flowers and some vouchers! Im going to miss them all but we are having a night out together soon and ill pop in on my way home from my new job which I start in 20 days! eekk!!

Really fancied hot chocolate last night, havent had it for a while and I really enjoyed it, always reminds me of the season!!

2) TRAVEL ALERT!

First, the numbers:
Days to the Season: 98
Days to Christmas Day: 140

And I would be derelict if I failed to mention the looming proxity of our next Milestone.
It's the THREE-QUARTER mark to Christmas Season 2014.
And........now hold on to your sleigh reigns........it's ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!

Yes, my friends. These Milestones are really piling up and most of them are now past.
(Wow. Don't tell me it's almost time to start thinking about holiday plans!
Too soon.
I'm not ready!)


Gradually more warm and humid as the days pass, but the rain has held off and is supposed to do so for one more day.
Then, it will begin just as our traveling does.

Which brings me to the above-mentioned ***** TRAVEL ALERT *****.

The Crowns are off late tomorrow morning to South Carolina to visit relatives on my mother's side of the family we haven't seen in 3 years.
As such, a volunteer will be needed for this Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Any takers?

Good morning everybody!!! Happy Friday Eve!!! I haven't had a chance to catch up on posts, but while my Keurig is brewing my coffee, I wanted to jump on & say "hello"! I just turned Christmas on Pandora, hoping the coffee will gear me up for a lot of painting today! 21563484 (that was Miss Gracie saying hello! :lol: That's what I get for walking away to grab my coffee!)
Anyway - we are going to have some fun today! The trusses for our new room were delivered this morning! Woo Hoo! Contractor kept saying they were waiting on trusses....well, they are here!!! Bring on construction!!

My bathroom is gone! Only thing left is a bath tub! Of course that did not get done without a lot of cursing & a hole in the wall! And a 5 gallon bucket under the water valves! Our plumber is coming back Tuesday anyway - thankfully! Ran into more issues - imagine that! LOL!

Oh how I love a day off work! :grin: Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Umm, I'm not Quite sure what Carl is serving tonight but I think the red thing is a tomato.

I am in such a hurry scanning through the post and not having a chance to read anything but this picture caught my attention and your comment is hilarious!!! I am glad I didn't have a mouth full of coffee when I read it. It reminds me of a new commercial where they put the plate in front of that guy and the plate looks kind of like this and told him it was steak. (not sure if you seen it). They get so fancy with the arrangement that you have no idea what you are eating. Ha ha! That's how it was when I got invited to a dinner like this with my daughter and son-in-law at the school she teaches at. It was in the Culinary section of the school and we were the test subjects. :lol: My son-in-law had these reactions to the plates they had put on the table because everything looked like this. He is a meat and potato type guy and this just freaked him out a bit. He was not rude to anyone about this, just to make that clear, he used his manners but it was just funny how he reacted. The food was delish however!!!

Wow! This picture reminded me of several funny happenings!

I said I was going to come back and catch up yesterday but it didn't happen. I woke up yesterday morning with my neck hurting so bad that Wayne had to help me up sit up and he brought me coffee in bed. I got on here to post and run because my grandkids were here. I thought I would start feeling better once I was up but began feeling worse. The kids actually got picked up early, around 11:30. I was not going to fight it like I usually do in the past. I took Wayne's advice, I got myself in bed before noon and stayed there - just me and the doggies! I was hurting so bad and not feeling well so I had a TV marathon watching mostly history and science. I watched shows about presidential history, history about the White House, space exploration and NASA. I am feeling smart this morning. :lol: I also caught a little of an NFL game - Yay!!! Football is back!!! :???: It's funny how I am not a political person in the least but love history of our past presidents and anything to do with history of Air Force One, the White House, secret service and such.

It's a good thing I just stayed in bed because I am feeling a whole lot better today! I just had to, "Let it Go" yesterday. Sorry Snowflake, couldn't resist our favorite song! Ha ha!!!

I am sure most of you are familiar with this scene in, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, where Snoopy rises in the pumpkin patch making Linus believe the Great Pumpkin has arrived.

My Jack Russell mix dog, Maris, will stand over me early in the morning and look down on me hoping I am awake. It is still dark in the room and all I see is a silhouette of her looking down on me. I call it the, "Great Pumpkin Stare Down". She has that look mastered!

Hi everyone!!! Just got back from the shore where we saw lots of Christmas around (a year-round Christmas store! Some Christmas in July trees still hanging around, etc). It was so nice! Hope you are all doing well!!

Evening everyone! It was such a lovely day here. Nicely warm but so incredibly humid with occasional rain which made me feel so sleepy all day. ^^ Met one of my lecturers (which is my favorite to be honest) at the campus earlier today and we had a very nice catch-up chat. Shared my experience at the Games too. It's nice to know that people are excited about each other here. That's the thing I miss every time I am back in Lithuania.

Trying to focus and do some writing right now but it's not going well at all. I have so many great ideas in my mind but I simply can't put them into words which is so frustrating. :x I really need some inspiration right now.

Anyway, I hope all of you are having a nice day/evening. Best wishes!
