Christmas Countdown - 2014

I had posted yesterday the "art" that Wayne and I saw at the Art Museum that doesn't make much sense. Here it is again and below is an art wall that I started over a year ago of my grandchildren's art that I put in frames and hung in the hallway. The kids are so proud of seeing their art hanging in frames on the wall. I have to say their art is far more superior than this one that is guarded at the art museum. :lol:

If you look on my art wall, the bottom right corner picture is of Santa on the roof. That one was mailed to me from Trackrebel's daughter Kandice! I was so tickled that she wanted me to have it so I added it to the wall! The top middle one was one my granddaughter did when she was 2 years old. That one is even way better than the top picture I took from the art museum! =)

I plan to start framing more pictures from the kids and filling up the other side of the hallway.

You aren't kidding about the museum art...guess it's in the eye of the beholder, (or something!!).
Your gallery of children's art is beautiful and I imagine it inspires you every day when you look at what their little creative minds come up with.
I can't wait to hang some of my grandson's creations as they grow!

Good morning!
It is going to be sunny and warm today with a high of 82 degrees. My daughter and I are going to take a ride to Staples this morning to pick up a graphing calculator. Then we're going out to lunch with my parents. We also plan on going to the mall this afternoon to do more clothes shopping. She only needs a couple of things so it shouldn't take long, then we can finally start packing. I'm praying I can fit all of her stuff in my car when we leave on Friday.

Oh boy, I sure remember those days of getting everything stuffed in the car to take our daughter to UW-Madison! We got it all up there, unloaded it and then I wanted to cry like a big old baby! Don't be surprised if you feel a little sad- it will be alright, truly.
It's a proud accomplishment for you as parents and I wish you all the best.
Have a fun day with your own parents who are most definitely proud of you!

Snowflake, I love that log cabin!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be hot. Really hot. 92 degrees and a heat index well over 100 degrees. Or just a typical summer day for CAH down in Texas. LOL!!! So needless to say, I'm going to be hanging out inside in front of the A/C. I have a few of my daily chores left and then I'm going to put in a Christmas movie and work on some projects. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Actually 92 is considered a cool summer here. :lol: I wish it was 92 right now but it will be climbing up to the triple digits today. One more day of it and it will drop back down in the 90's. I can't wait! I am still not a fan of the 90's but it's huge difference from the triple digits.

I might watch a Christmas movie too! Enjoy your day!

Yeah, no kidding! When I say they, "guard their art", at the art museum, I'm not joking. They stare down everyone as if they are criminals wanting to steal the art. I would not want that picture if it was given to me! I don't blame them for guarding the art there that is worthy of being watched because there was some really fine pieces but this and a few others were laughable. Not wanting to knock any of the employees, they give you the stare down but if you greet them they were quite friendly and would answer any questions you may have! =) Also, don't mean to disrespect the artist either but, really? Lol!

It really gives your kid's art a nice touch when you frame it. I look forward to seeing your art gallery!

When does everyone do their fall decorating? When I lived in the city, it was like a contest in my neighborhood - EVERYONE was decorated in early September. I swear, some had their fall leaves up at the tail end of August!! Now in my suburban neighborhood, fall decorating isn't so popular but I still do it the first weekend in September, in general. How about you all??

I'm pretty good, thanks. How are you?

I've started decorating inside already, and will finish up in the next week or two. I've already switched my garden flags & doormats, but will pick up some mums & corn stalks in the next week or so, and put my scarecrows out after Labor Day! Will probably add some hay bales, a wreath, and pumpkins soon too.

We are good, just trying to get everything organized for back to school. Sad to say it, but I am so looking forward to Jude going back! Sassy 6 year olds can get a little bit trying some times!!! Noel will be 4 tomorrow and is very much more laid back than Jude. Veyr peaceful with just one in the house!!

Oooh snowflake, just remembered my neighbor just planted mums!!! So I won't be the first! I am happy to hear you are decorating!!
