We usually eat pretty late on Friday nights - til everybody gets there, unpacked & settled, so if you're there by 7:30-8:00 we can have a cocktail before pizza. :lol:

I've been working like a dog this morning. Of course, that consists of keying...but I'm keying feverishly!

I'm looking forward to the 3-day weekend in the cabin, even if my bossy sister-in-law is coming, too. LOL

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I've been working like a dog this morning. Of course, that consists of keying...but I'm keying feverishly!

It's tasty!! Our neighbor (who is making them this weekend) puts them on a pizza stone, but I have made them on a piece of aluminum foil, grill on low! YUM!

We are playing it by ear right now. My Mother-in-law has chemo tomorrow, and depending on how she is feeling this time around, we would love to spend some quality time with her. I was working when she was in town this week, for a different appointment, so I missed her. Quite a phenomenal woman [emoji175]

We also have some dinner plans with friends, and want to go biking on some new trails in the area. And grill out a lot!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be hot again and it looks like it's going to stay that way until late next week. Boo!!!! It's been cool all summer and then when summer is almost over it's going to go and get hot? That's not fair!!! I have a few errands to run today so I spent most of the morning getting my chores done and playing phonebook for my neighbor again. I wonder if they will still show up at my door asking me to look up stuff for them after they move at the end of next month. I'm going to try and get caught up some of the podcasts today too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

We have purchased tickets for the Level 9 VIP tour at Johnson Space Center in Houston. My dad is going with us and it will be his birthday present from me and Wayne. While we are down there we will probably go to the beach in Galveston. I just love anything regarding space exploration - got it from my dad! I can't wait for our mini vacation!

I have not had time to catch up on the post. I hope I didn't miss anything important!

I noticed that, too, Holiday, when I was teaching. The first weeks of school would be so hot. When I was a kid, we started school after Labor Day, but I don't remember it being so hot. In fact, I remember how cool the weather was as we walked to school.

No, it's not. I am not sure which medicines specifically are given during her chemo. It hits her hard a few days after.

No contractors at our house this morning ~ 1st time all week! Not sure if they are waiting on siding, or if they are coming later. Guess we'll find out. Gracie got a bath again last night - 2 nights at home - 2 baths! :lol: She just can't stay out of the mud! Our electrician friend was over again last night til 12:30 in the morning. Not sure how he does it. I'm tired & I don't work NEAR as many hours per day/week as he does! I don't think he requires sleep! Lol! Says he's coming back tonight!

I think I'm going to go to the lake tonight to get my ingredients prepped for Cowboy Pizza tomorrow night. We are all bringing toppings for different types of pizzas & making them on the grill. Our neighbor is bringing all the crusts. Should be interesting. Besides the Cowboy Pizza, we are having a Frisch's Big Boy Pizza, bbq chicken pizza & buffalo chicken pizza & whatever anybody else brings! I also bought everything to make "Texas Caviar" for a snacky this weekend. Gotta love a holiday weekend at the lake! Unfortunately there is an 80% chance of rain Sunday! Hopefully that's overnight only! cheesy

Now that is funny, CAH!

I busted out laughing at this! (not at you having a tough time but reminded me of something funny).

When my daughter left the house I continued buying a bottle of ketchup once a week because we went through that much every single week the whole time she was growing up. After several weeks passed my son asked why we had so much ketchup in the cabinet - must have been 5 - 6 full bottles in there!!! :lol: I had no idea she was the only one practically "drinking" that stuff!!!! :lol: Now we might go through a bottle twice a year.

I do know how you feel. It's not fun when your kids grow up and move away!!!
