Good Morning, Folks.

Weekend Part II.
Welcome to it.

And what else is welcomed?
The latest figures, of course.
And here they are:
Days to the Season: 74
Days to Christmas Day: 116

And just like that, we are down to a scant 16 days to the 100-day Christmas Day Window and the commencement of a double-double digit count.
(Is it too early to start to feel the excitement building?)

Slowly - ever so slowly - the heat and humidity return.
Still not back to typical summer levels but gradually getting there.
However, tomorrow is the first day of September which I have always thought of as a fall month. And that psychologically makes me feel just a little bit cooler.
We stand just under 73 degrees at this hour here in the capital city.

Have a Super Sunday, Everybody.
Enjoy the remainder of your weekend in the style to which you have become accostomed as faithful MMC'ers!

Thanks Crown!
I hope you have a great day!

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm posting from the cabin in the woods. Having a great time, but not much cell service.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good Morning one and all... Ahhhh, another nice morning around these parts, it's overcast, but the temps aren't too bad. I started cutting the lawn yesterday, but stopped about a third of the way thru, so we could go look for appliances for the new house. I'm just hoping the rain holds off until later this afternoon, so I can finish this morning.

We spent the whole day shopping around and we got some great deals for the Labor day weekend. At Lowes, we got 1,500.00 off the price for a Samsung refrigerator, we got 650.00 off the Whirlpool washer, dryer and 200.00 off the microwave from Home Depot....That is some nice cha-ching put back in my pocket~ And all of it, we got free delivery and Installation as well.

Then we went and got a new box spring and mattress for Zachary at Mattress discounters and saved 600.00 there as well.... he's been complaining ever since he got back that the bed upstairs is hurting his back, so we decided to get him a good mattress. The bed he has, came from his grandparents house, it was in their spare bedroom.

I'm going to just hang out around here this morning, then head down and go visit my grandfather this afternoon. Lisa is working the evening shift at the hospital today, so I can get some errands done that won't interfear with her schedule....

Hope everyone has a good day today and I'll talk to ya all later on~

I was really hoping to have some time to catch up here today but it just didn't happen. I can't seem to catch a break. I hope to find some time tomorrow. I spoke with my brother earlier and he had to put his 14 year old West Highland Terrier down this morning. They are devastated. It was one of the hardest things he's ever had to do and it broke my heart to hear my 50 year old brother crying. We really are blessed to have these amazing pets in our lives. They bring us so much joy each and every day and work their way right in to our hearts. It's so hard to say goodbye.
See you in the morning.
Goodnight ~

I am so sorry to hear about your brother having to put his dog down. It is one of the hardest things to do. My heart was shattered when I lost Chico back in February. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.

It's a great city, I love living so close I can visit whenever I want. And New York at Christmas time is one of the best times to visit! (I'd say it's the second best time after summer!) Have fun on your trip!

My first trip to New York was October 2011. We were up in Maryland visiting my husband's family and made a day trip to New York. It was nearly a 4 hour trip there and back so we didn't have a lot of time to spend there. We went to the 911 Memorial then to Central Park to see John Lennon's memorial Imagine. That is all we had time for but the city was impressive. I am wanting to go back to see the 911 museum now since that wasn't there when we first went.

We will be up in Maryland again and it looks like it was be another day trip there again so we got to make the most of it. I have to see that Rockefeller Tree!!!

I love it!!! Thanks for sharing!

What year do you think that toy was made? I love that nostalgic look!

Good morning!
I'm just relaxing and having a cup of coffee. Not too much going on today. I need to go to Hallmark later to pick up a card. That means I get to play with the ornaments while I'm there!
My daughter was texting me from college yesterday and everything seems to be going pretty good so far. I'm going to call her today, I need to hear her voice.
And a new health food store just opened up nearby. It looks beautiful, I'm going to take a ride and check it out. Maybe I'll find some gluten free goodies. That's about it for me!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
