Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Morning folks!!!!

I look at Wednesdays as being at the top of the hill, I always look forward to sliding down the other side of it.....

I was up and at-em early today, I was here at the office by 6am, why, no reason, just was awake, so I thought I'd get up and get an early start. And besides, if I put in extra hours during the week, I can take them as comp time on Friday, which means, I'm out of the office extra early on that day: which, I do say, is very nice~

Moving date is getting closer and closer now (T-27 days and counting down), with a couple more inspection completed, things are looking good for the house. I guess, I can say now, that it will be a fore-gone conclusion, that it will be our next home....

Good morning all!!!! Having a hard time this morning getting everyone moving Not much going on today , oldest son has a Dr appt this morning then dropping him at school and off to work.
I do need to decide what I'm cooking for supper tonight. I get tired of cooking the same things.

Well, we had another quite warm and humid day yesterday but a cooling early evening breeze brings us hope for today.

(Relief might be spelled r-a-i-n however.)

Morning All!

Well my son is back at school today and we are back into routine. More Halloween stuff was out in one of the shops! I have already seen something I want lol.

I started buying for the children's Christmas Eve goody bag! I always pick up little things here and there and this morning I bought the first! So excited about it! lol

Hey are many of you in the card exchange?? Also I was wondering do you know when the deadline is for signing up??

113 days!!!! Wow.....the clock is ticking ......September 2nd....Kandice, mom and I went to the Zoo in Heidelberg.....we were especially enchanted by the seals, porcupine and asian elephants.....and babyskunk

It was a reaction with the antibiotic I was on and being in the sun too long, I was also covered in hives because of it.

After all that trouble, I'm glad to hear that the new house has a "clean bill of health" and you can count on it as your new home! I hope it will be your home longer than the last one!

I "redecorated" at the office yesterday, meaning I took my "Aloha Spoken Here" sign off the wall and hung up a 3-D pumpkin, and replaced my Aloha floor mat with a fall leaves floor mat. A few people were kinda laughing at me for changing with the season, but what the heck. Maybe they were just laughing because it made them happy.

Just as I pulled into the driveway yesterday after work a heck of a storm cut loose. Even though I had an umbrella, I had to stay in the car for about ten minutes until it slacked up. Lightning, thunder, wind, and torrents of rain---there were big puddles in the yard because the earth couldn't absorb it fast enough. But it brought the humidity down a little, thank goodness. A few leaves are turning color here and there, but the temps are still in the summer range.

I may not watch many of the Hallmark Christmas movies, but I have peace of mind knowing there is a station that airs them 24/7 Nov.-to early Jan.
(I did really like "Pete's Christmas" when that was on last year)

I totally understand that - I sometimes don't get a chance to watch, but I just like knowing they are on - or having them on in the background!

It feels like it has been a long time since I have been able to spend some quality time here, it has been nice to just take my time and read the posts.

It has been a hot one here, I know it hit 90 with a heat index of 98 a couple of hours ago. Yuck!

I have to go start the potatoes for dinner, but I will be back later on.

Good morning, everyone!

Happy 'Pines Day! It is our first of September. Woohoo! It is a beautiful one in Ottawa. Plenty of sun and clear skies. Unfortunately, I am stuck indoors without any windows. Darn passport office.

Tonight should be a busy night, I have a big game to play - it will actually be broadcast for our local cable station. We shall sew how it goes.

Kim is heading back to her hometown of Cornwall tonight. Her best friend is getting married on Saturday. Kim is the maid of honour. It should be a great time.

Well, break is over. Back to work... have I mentioned that I can't wait to get back to teaching?!
