My sister & I plan to do some shopping, and go out to lunch. Then, come home & have fun with Harlowe. It's going to be a beautiful day, so we will take her for a nice long walk.

the brrrrr's are definitely here! It was 2c (35f) over night.
Off to church in a bit and then not much going on today.

Incredible that we are almost 100 days away from Christmas!! So exciting. Was checking out my Christmas box and I am accumulating a fair amount of gifts already and other needed items for sharing baked goodies. Saving up stamps for the Christmas card exchange. Already have enough cards for the next 2 years thanks to a mystery Santa who left a bag full in my van one day.

Good morning!
My daughter is leaving soon to head back to school. I don't know if this visit helped her or made things worse. She doesn't want to go back. I will not be surprised if she tells me she wants to transfer to a local school after this semester. We'll see what happens. I'll support whatever she decides to do. I just want her to be happy.
No big plans for today. My oldest has off so she's going to keep me company, I have a few errands to run and I'll probably grab some lunch with her. Then back home to make baked ziti for dinner.
I've got to run, I hope everyone has a nice day!

Praying that your daughter has a safe trip back and that she's not to homesick when she gets there!!!

I have been missing a few days. We went out of town to Houston to visit the Johnson Space Center on a Level 9 VIP tour, only 12 people permitted on each tour - it took about 5 hours but well worth it! It was amazing to sit in mission control where the first moon landing took place. The next day we went to USS Texas Battleship and toured it. It was really cool and took 2 hours to tour the whole ship. We headed over to the San Jacinto Monument afterward. We took my dad as part of his early birthday present, he had a really good time!

Here is the only souvenir we bought. We usually don't buy your typical souvenirs and always looking for Christmas related ones that pertain to the vacations we take.

I am not sure if I will make it back on here today but hopefully can catch up with you all sometime this week. Just trying to get back in the groove here and catch up on a lot of things.

I shouldn't have bragged about not coughing much overnight because I'm making up for it right now. At least it's not a real deep cough like it was. Still hurts the chest some but it's mainly more annoying.

That's when a cough is hard to deal with … it wants to hang on at that stage.
If you like hot tea at all, drink it frequently with honey and lemon juice. It's very soothing when you have a stubborn cough. Some articles say that a straight spoonful of honey works as well as an OTC cough medicine, but I haven't tried it.

It's a chilly Sunday morning in Ottawa. The apartment is cold and I am ready for breakfast! I don't think those two things really go together, I am just looking forward to eat some pancakes.

As for today, I am looking forward to staying in and watching football. Actually, I have to go out for a quick moment to sharpen my skates, and possibly pickup some garlic bread. Otherwise, it's a nice and quiet day. Well, it will be quiet if the Packers win! GO PACK GO!!!

Here we have beautiful sunshine, brilliant blue skies, and temps are supposed to get to about 68F today. Perfect September weather! We're planning to go out for a walk later to enjoy it. Otherwise, no particular plans. I think I'll make some tea and watch an episode of "Mr. Selfridge" on Amazon Instant Video.
