Merry morning all!

It's been a busy morning. Mr. Festive is off sick so I had to go to the chemist after the school run for some medicine. On my way there I popped into one of the local stores and sure enough Christmas stuff was out! Not everything yet but quite a lot. As I was walking into the shop a lady blurted out to me 'Christmas stuff is out'. It was great to see someone else so excited lol!

Lots of Halloween stuff too! I have seen a couple ceramic ghost and pumpkin lanterns I would like to get. They are only 1.00 each so hey why not right?

When I came home, I spent the entire morning cleaning and doing laundry. I need to catch up with some work at some point today though.

Hope you all are having a great day.
hope your mr is feeling better quickly

There is a lot of halloween items out in stores here, but have not seen much in the way of Christmas stuff yet. Costco in London is the only I have seen so far.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Productive morning here. Ran all of my errands, got meatball stew cooking in the Crockpot, and even made a double batch of chocolate chip cookies. Now to figure out whats for lunch.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's another foggy, muggy morning, but it should clear up to about 88°.

I rode by Bernie's after work yesterday, and I could smell the smoker running. I went inside and he had smoked chickens, boston butts & ribs. Wow, that smelled good! I left with two chickens and some bread. Smoked chicken sandwiches were a great supper.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
the opposite of our weather.
I enjoy smoked meats, have to get my brother to fire up his smoker again.

Here is a picture of my 2 rescue dogs. Maris (brown and white dog) was the one we found wandering the streets in our neighborhood. She would come visit me everyday at my house for nearly a month before I took her in. We have had her now for over a year and no more wandering the streets! Niles, the chihuahua, was adopted from the animal shelter back in March. He was a scraggly little mess, hurt leg and underweight. He is doing fantastic now and plumped up a bit! They are best buddies!!! They are my best buddies too!!!

awwe so cute, wonderful and relaxed knowing they are safe and loved.

Today is "supposed" to be my oldest brother Mike's birthday - he would have been 61 ~ instead it's his 3rd heavenly birthday & we miss him every day!

This is him with me & my niece Jill ~ He was my Godfather, as well as Jill's & I am Jill's Godmother too!

I always love this picture of Mike & my 2nd oldest brother Bill is behind him on the golf course!

Happy Birthday big brother!

And I can't forget to mention it's also my FIL's birthday today too!!! Happy Birthday Don!

Thank you!
The chiro didn't find anything seriously wrong, just some tight muscles and back joints. He worked them loose and it's much better this morning, although it's still kinda stiff. I'm sure that'll go away in a day or two.

I'm glad there was nothing seriously wrong! I hope you feel better & better every day!

Goodness, it got very dark all of a sudden, and now it's pouring rain. Maybe I'd better look for an ark!

Stay safe!

LOL!!!! I agree!!! They could!!!

No, I didn't.

Have fun at the wedding!!!!!

Hope they can get a lot of drywall up tonight and that the contractors came back!!!

Woohoo!!!! Lots of receptions to party at!!!!

LOL, you are the only one to notice I mentioned frost.
We had a nice time going through thrift stores and to her favorite Dutch import store.

Made me cold when I ready it! Sounds like a fun day with mom!

well enough with hanging out here, I have work to do.! (even though I would rather be here !!)

I hope your work gets done quickly!! Have a good day!

Good Morning MMC !

Continues chilly here, even heard the "F" word in the weather report this morning. Yes, frost is predicted overnight on Friday!!! That should add nice color to the trees.

The 5-letter F-word, not the 4-letter F-word, I trust! cheesy

Nice to see you! Thanks for the recipe!! I might have to try that with ham instead of spam?? Mmmmmm! (I love onion, pineapple & bbq together!) :)

A Hawaiian substitution would be smoked, slow-cooked pulled pork (kalua pork).

That's good news! Sounds like maybe a nice evening, relaxing in a hot steamy tub, may be of some help.... Hope you feel better soon~

Thank you! A hot steam tub DOES sound good! Especially toward the end of a workweek.

A Hawaiian substitution would be smoked, slow-cooked pulled pork (kalua pork).

Sounds delicious! This made me think of this recipe from my friend:

Hawaiian Kielbasa Sandwich

3# smoked kielbasa or smoked sausage (pre-cooked sausage)
2 bottles (12 oz ea) chili sauce
1 can (20 oz) pineapple tidbits, undrained - I used crushed pineapple instead
1/4 c packed brown sugar

12 hoagie buns

Combine and cook in slow cooker 3-4 hrs or heated through.

Also this one I have made many times:

Hawaiian Chicken

3 lb. frying chicken, cut up
20 oz. Can pineapple chunks
¼ c. margarine
¼ c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
¼ C. vinegar
½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp. Chili sauce
1/3 C. catsup

Brown chicken pieces in margarine. Layer them in a 9 x 12” baking dish. Pour juice from pineapple into a saucepan. Add margarine, brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili sauce, & catsup. Cook until thick. Add pineapple chunks. Remove from heat & pour over browned chicken Bake at 350º for 1 to 1 ¼ hours or until tender.

Now I'm hungry for pineapple/bbq, choc chip cookies, & meatball stew!
