Christmas Countdown - 2014

Hey guys, I hope you all are having a great day. Mine is almost over, I'm just watching some TV with the kids and Mr. before bed. Anyway I wanted to pop in to tell you guys that I have just bought a Christmas tree!!!! I found one that looks really beautiful and life like! It was also heavily discounted !!!

It is our first artificial tree and I hope it will meet our expectations when it arrives. I bought it online so fingers crossed that it is as good as it looks on the website!!

I am so excited for it to get here. I really hope it will be all good, I 'm a bit nervous lol

Ok well enjoy the rest of your weekend guys. I'm at work tomorrow so catch up with you all on Monday.

Festive Spirit, all I know are artificial Christmas trees. We have had one since I was 7 years old. I enjoy having an artificial one because I tend to put up my tree the first week of November and do not take it down until the first week of January - no chance of it dying!

One of these days I might go for a real one to set up in my living room and put the artificial one in the den. I would love to have the smell of pine!

Well, my dad passed away this evening.

It was peaceful and I'm glad he's not suffering. I already miss him terribly. But I'm excited that "Ol' Pappy" (as I affectionately call him) is in Heaven!

K-Mart has started putting out their Christmas displays!!!! Trees were up and decorated and there was one aisle of ornaments and village pieces out. There are a lot of gift displays throughout the store, too.

Busy day of hunting store stock and shopping for essentials. I am exhausted!
Going to spend the rest of the evening reading. A month or so ago I was talking books with one of the cashiers at my favorite thrift store and she was raving about the Twilight Saga so I told her I would read the series. Book one starts tonight.

Cool!!! Our Kmart and our Sears store in the mall are both going to be closing by Christmas. So I doubt that they will have anything this year. They will probably just be trying to get rid of the stuff that is already there.

I spent the past couple of days organizing all of my daughters dorm room stuff. Everything is finally put away, I'm glad that's over with. I'm kind of tired so I think I'm going to turn in early. I don't have too much planned for the rest of the weekend. I may take a ride to another craft fair tomorrow morning if I feel up to it and I'm going to visit my parents in the afternoon.
