Well, my dad passed away this evening.

It was peaceful and I'm glad he's not suffering. I already miss him terribly. But I'm excited that "Ol' Pappy" (as I affectionately call him) is in Heaven!

Howdy all! I don't think I will ever catch up on here. I have either been sick or busy trying to catch up around the house when I finally got better.

Thank you all for your well wishes, I do appreciate it!

Snow-in-Texas and I took a walk at the Arboretum this morning before they opened to the public. I was able to get some more pictures without a lot of traffic walking through. I took a video as well that I will upload later.

There are 50,000 pumpkins that are displayed in their Pumpkin Village this year.

Hey guys, I hope you all are having a great day. Mine is almost over, I'm just watching some TV with the kids and Mr. before bed. Anyway I wanted to pop in to tell you guys that I have just bought a Christmas tree!!!! I found one that looks really beautiful and life like! It was also heavily discounted !!!

It is our first artificial tree and I hope it will meet our expectations when it arrives. I bought it online so fingers crossed that it is as good as it looks on the website!!

I am so excited for it to get here. I really hope it will be all good, I 'm a bit nervous lol

Ok well enjoy the rest of your weekend guys. I'm at work tomorrow so catch up with you all on Monday.

Good evening, MMC!

K-Mart has started putting out their Christmas displays!!!! Trees were up and decorated and there was one aisle of ornaments and village pieces out. There are a lot of gift displays throughout the store, too.

Busy day of hunting store stock and shopping for essentials. I am exhausted!
Going to spend the rest of the evening reading. A month or so ago I was talking books with one of the cashiers at my favorite thrift store and she was raving about the Twilight Saga so I told her I would read the series. Book one starts tonight.

I love KMart's decor, I always seem to think they have the best stuff every year. I wish the one here had their stuff out.

Another night of running around after work. No rest coming, I was drafted to make a turkey dinner for our family and friends tomorrow. My mother-in-law has passed the torch to me to be the family turkey roaster, she can't do it like she use to with her handicap.
We did start our Christmas shopping tonight, we went to Kohl's as part of our errands and we found our first gift for LC!!! They did have their Christmas stuff out, love their Santas!!! I didn't take any pictures for the Blossoms, my anxiety wasn't letting me do it. (I was thrown out of Kohl's a few times when I use to be a mystery shopper checking their prices years ago.)

I got to get up early to get the bird in the oven.

I believe she was 18 when that photo was taken, and when that concert took place. Yes, she was an attractive young lady! Donald O'Connor once hugged her so hard he broke some of her ribs.

VERY nice weather indeed here yesterday, with our high in the low 70's and the low humidity to match.
No rain of course. And just enough breeze to make it interesting and keep the air stirred a bit.
Fantastic! (Wish it could always be so.)
We are at 57 degrees here currently, to begin the second half of our weekend.
