Happy First Wednesday in October!

Still chilly, wet, and gray here, but it's all good ... I have a few new sweaters for the fall season. Would like to get a nice cup of tea, but there's a guy working on the sink in the office kitchen ... maybe a little later.

There's a nasty cold running through the office. Keep your fingers crossed that I can duck it! I managed to avoid getting a bad cold all last winter.

Happy Pines Day! Happy October! The calendar has changed and so have most of the leaves here. The excitement continues.

Well I am at passport today so my break is short lived. I received a few calls to teach but they would have been more than an hour away. I can't do that right now... Maybe closer tomorrow.

Good evening,

Inventory went very smoothly, my easiest of the year. Next month will be the worst of the year since half of my Thanksgiving turkey order will be in, my first shipment comes in a week and a half and I am expecting 23 pallets and that is my smallest shipment. Ugghh!

I work another night shift again tomorrow before having Thursday off.

Only one more week until hockey and the Bruins are back for a new hockey season, I love it!! I can't wait to watch some hockey, hopefully the Bruins will have a great season again.

I will be see you all in October.

An early Good Morning to all!!! Why am I awake and up about this early, this morning? I have no clue.... But, since I'm up, I might as well put the coffee on~

Happy October greeting extended out to one and all! Wow October, my goodness the time is starting to fly. I can already, start seeing the change in color, on the tree leaves around here, and hopefully, there will be just a little drop in the temperature, so as to really make it feel like Fall is here.

Last night as I pulling up to the house, I glanced over to the right of the house, and there were 5 does, standing about 30 feet from the house grazing. They never bolted, they just stood there, looking at me like they had something to say - "Hey, nice tasty shrubs....!"

Boy, I'm really starting to feel the seasonal/Holiday buzz, I picked up a couple of bags of Halloween candy, just in case, for our new home. I have no clue if there are any trick-of-treaters, but, I wanted to be prepared, just in case. And over at Lowes last night, I went back to the patio section and all my goodness, you ought to see all of the Christmas decorations that they have out now on the shelves. They were setting up the trees, as I was cruzing around the isles.... The wife literally, grabbed me by the shirt sleeve and said "no, it's not time yet! Your not buying anything for Christmas now, were trying to move everything that you have already......!" Ahhhh darn, she's got a good point, but the credit card is sure burning a hole in my pocket as we speak....LOL!!!!!

Boy, I'm a chatty catty this morning.... Well, coffee is ready, Yes......The essence, the aroma of morning!!!!!

Yes!!!! It is October!

The Leaves are starting to change colors, the corn and soybeans are drying in the fields, a silver hue, arises from the fields, as the first rays, of the mornings light, gently arises from the eastern skies. Pumpkins, marigolds, corn stalks, scarecrows, gourds, bales of hay, and apple cider is awaiting for us at the farmers roadside stand.....Yes.....it is here, I can feel it, I can smell it, it is Fall!!!!

And with October, that means.....HALLOWEEN, will soon be here......

Now those were a couple of exciting EARLY morning posts!!! If that doesn't make you catch a fall/holiday buzz I'm not sure what will!! Have a great day ~ you are going to need that coffee!! :lol:

The high will be around 93 today. Yuck! I was thinking about putting up my Halloween decorations outside but might wait until the weather cools down a bit more which will be Friday.

Wow 93 temp on Oct 1. Don't miss the Texas weather but we did enjoy our 6 years there. We were a young couple with no kids from a small town and enjoyed Dallas/Fort Worth. Went to a lot of Rangers games (Nolan Ryan was pitching for them then), dinners @ Joe T Garcia's & Trail Dust, WestEnd Market in downtown Dallas and several malls. I understand Trail Dust is now closed & WestEnd Market is empty. Sad to see.

Now that we're older, its good to be back in the mountains with the closest WalMart 40 miles away, grocery store 14 miles, and shopping mall over an hour drive away.

Happy October, my Christmas friends!

It's supposed to get down in the upper 40's for a low this weekend...yippee!!

I love September since it's the start of the 'Bers, but October is really the start of Fall for me. I'm ready to decorate the front yard for Fall!

I'm with you. Our forecast high for Saturday is 56. Seeing some color on the mountains. The popular trees in our yard are losing their leaves. Seeing more wildlife. Great time of the year.

Wow 93 temp on Oct 1. Don't miss the Texas weather but we did enjoy our 6 years there. We were a young couple with no kids from a small town and enjoyed Dallas/Fort Worth. Very sad about West End Market. We went down there not too long ago looking for that unique mall they had. The building was empty! That was such a neat little mall, very sad to see it go.

Good morning, xmastidings! I love seeing all the decorations too, as I go out in the stores, as well as everything to buy for people. Every time I go out, I try to pick up something, that way I stay ahead of the game. Glad you're enjoying yourself too!

ok, on my third cup of coffee now, the bunnies (oreo and peanut), are running around their cage, I guess their ready for breakfast, whoops, the wife's up now, (guess I better put that credit card away!)

Looks like an early start to, what day is it......It's hump day!!!!!!Yay....... Don't you just love Wednesdays, of course, not as good as Fridays and definitely a whole lot better than Mondays......

And in fact today sees us a scant 6 DAYS away from our last pre-Season Milestone, the Home Stretch Ninety Percent mark, as incredible as that may be to believe.

Today's figures:
Days to the Season: 43
Days to Christmas Day: 85.


Fairly comfortable yesterday after a chilly start and we got just about to 70 for our high.
Today should be pleasant as well along with Thursday, with rain and cooler weather moving in again for Friday.
We are at 58 degrees here right now.

Wow You guys are really busy posting!!!!! Four or five pages since my last post......gotta love this forum!

Kandice is home from school today....a cold has been bugging since last Thursday...not really coming out....after coughing at night for 2 hours and a headache in the morning I allowed her to stay at home.....since it is a public holiday on Friday.....I let her stay home tomorrow as well....so she has 5 days to rest and recover....either it will really come out....or it will just go away.
