Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be hot here today with a high in the mid 80's. Then rain overnight and a major cool front. They are saying we might not even make it out of the 40's on saturday!! Love it!! It's a pretty stressful morning here. I'm just waiting by the phone to hear from my sister. After I hear from her, I'll explain more about what has been going on. Other than that, not to much going on today. Just the normal daily chores and job searching. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Good evening,

It was one of those nights where the clock seemed to moving backwards, for some reason it just was a slow moving night even though I was continuously keeping busy.

I have a rare Thursday off, not much planned except some laundry. I may head out and check out Goodwill, to see if there is anything new that I could use.

Looks like I may be closing up here at The Pines tonight, not to much going on this late.

Today will be cleaning day in my house....at least somehow......arranging...throwing things, vaccuuming, mopping......when that is done...we will go to the store and buy paint.....before Christmas I want the house to look different!!! Kandice wants some blue in her room....I want the living room to have a warmer color then white...maybe some apricot.....heck even cappucino color would look nicer.....we might also move the furniture in the living room to give the place a whole new look......so many things

Have fun redecorating!!! I'm slow starting to go my apartment for painting too.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far.

It's been a busy morning. I had to put together a box of food to take to take to the school. We organise a collection and donate it to the local homeless shelters every year at harvest time. Tomorrow is the children's harvest morning.

I spent the morning cleaning, now I need to get some work done before I pick up my son from school in a couple hours.

Good Morning Christmas Friends!

I never heard from the repair man yesterday so we are still without AC. It's our central air out but we still have our window units in our bedroom so we can at least sleep! The rest of the house is like a sauna so I have to lock myself up in the bedroom just to keep cool BUT I am thankful for that! Can't complain too much at least I have some air somewhere! =)

I'm glad to hear that you have the window units so you can still stay somewhat cool!!!! Hope the repairman calls you back today!!!

Dallas local news is flooded with this whole Ebola case. This family live very close to us! Now they have 5 schools in a frenzy because the patient came in contact with 5 kids from 5 different schools. Hopefully it will stay under control and not spread!

I've been watching CNN this morning and it sounds scary that they have now legally ordered the 4 people who had the most contact with him to stay inside there house until the 19th. Hope they have it contained!!!

House is cleaned. Dad just came over and we played some cards with Kandice...I told her to try to nap a bit now....She says....Mom.....I´m too big for a babynap.....lmao.....I told her that I know that, but that the nap is because she is sick....and the sleeping/resting helps the healing.

Hope Kandice is back to 100% soon!!!!!

I have my flu shot. Germs and viruses, back off and stay away!

With the damp, cool. cloudy weather, I'm still wishing I could be home working on Christmas playlists and making gingerbread and watching movies. Oh, well, I can do some of that on the weekend---which will be here soon!

P.S. Got some cinnamon-cream creamer at the store last night and tried it in a cup of tea. Mmmmmmm. Very nice!

Take care of yourself. We still have friends in the area & they are a little concerned also. We will be praying for you. Hopefully the CDC is right and it will be controlled.

When I saw that the guy was in Dallas, I thought of y'all. I remember how upset we all were when they brought that doctor back to Atlanta a while back. Hopefully, they'll keep this under control.

Good morning mmc! IT's a COLD 40F outside right now...It's funny that the first cool shot of the Autumn makes 40F feel so cold but in 2 months 40 will feel warm! It's suppose to moderate this weekend,lows will still be in the 40's but the highs will eventually get up in the 70's in the afternoons! Perfect early fall weather if you ask me. I was riding around yesterday in the higher elevations around 7000FT and the leaves have aleady begun to fall off the trees, around here at 4000Ft they are at peak but it has happened all in the last week! I remember in the deep south fall lasted a good 4 to 6 weeks where the leaves would change soooo slow! not here, its all donein about 2 weeks,3 tops!

I still have a lot of Halloween décor to put up inside and I will finish it this weekend. Glad this is a 3 day week then the weekend comes....Has everyone been keeping up with there high school/ favorite college football teams this fall? My beloved bulldogs are having a pretty good year so far, we play vandy this weekend, and this past week we played Tennessee and won. Man I love this time of year...Now as I drink my pumpkin spice latte I will go check on the kids, they have been very quiet this morning! Have a good morning everyone!

Good evening everyone! I just got done for the day! I'm beat.... It was a long but yet productive day of moving stuff all day long. Tomorrow, I have to be over at the house, I have Lowes and Home Depot making deliveries, Direct TV will be there for TV install, Fuel oil company will be there tomorrow to inspect the tank, HVAC guys will be there to inspect and fire up the furnace to make sure everything is operating ok and then I have the alarm guys coming out to the house as well. Busy day tomorrow is instore for me....

Well, I'm heading for bed....see you all tomorrow~ Goodnight!

I know we're all saying it, but I love this time of year, too! It's supposed be really cool this weekend, it's time to close the pool, and Elizabeth is prepping for her Christmas ballet (no Nutcracker this year, sad), and she's practicing with the church choir for the Christmas cantata. Fun!

I'm lighting my first Mulled Cider candle of the season today, too!

[Holiday]

I'm stoked. We are going out to do some Christmas shopping this weekend and we have officially started looking for Bambina's gifts. I'm also going to try a couple of new recipes this weekend that I am debating making for Christmas. Mom says we are going on a much smaller scale for our Chritsmas meal, so I'm going to try to bring a few more things.

We are sitting here watching Christmas cartoons with the little one. She loves watching Disney's Prep and Landing and Polar Express. When those come on, she won't move.

Good evening everyone! First day back at work and trying to get the hang of the 3 to 11 shift... I use to love that shift and I think it is going to work great, on the weekends me and the wife can meet up and hang out...I will miss seeing her as she is in bed when I get home but I love staying home during the day with the boys they are growing so much! I hope everyone is having a great week! Our weather went from summer to winter overnight! the leaves are probably at peak this is the fastest I have ever seen landscape change!

Is it bed time yet? I'm exhausted. Pines Day always seems to wear me out. Sadly, there are no teaching calls just yet for tomorrow. Perhaps there will be in the morning. I did, however, receive a call to teach on Friday. I suspect that will be a great lead into the weekend!

I'm going to turn in soon. I'm just going through some paperwork I brought home from work. October is going to be a busy month, there's so much going on at the school. Open house for the parents is next week. The police & fire departments are both scheduled to visit the kids. Picture day is coming up as well. Then there's the Fall Festival and of course the Halloween celebration. I have dress up so I have to think about what I want to be. Fun stuff!
I'm also reading about additional training that I am required to do. Most of it can be done online, I just need to figure out when I'm going to get it done.
