Just put a cinnamon and clove wax melt in the warmer and it smells so fall like!!! It's great!!! Now if I didn't have to have the A/C running it would be even better!!!

Divorce is a tough thing, especially with kids. I'm glad the judge had enough common sense to see where the kids really needed to be.

I'll be praying for your family, my friend.

Thanks, Brad!!!

Thanks for all of the Prayers over the last couple of days everyone!!!!

Back on the 20th my BIL decided to surprise my sister with Divorce papers. It was a Saturday and she had been working a craft fair and came home to a sheriff sitting in her driveway and him peeking out the window. He had never mentioned anything to her about it or anything.

It wasn't just the divorce though. He also wanted full custody of the kids. Now he may not be a terrible dad but he is not really involved in those kids lives at all compared to my sister. He didn't even know their teachers names compared to my sister who volunteers in their classrooms and is president of the PTO at the school. Not to mention the fact that she is leader of both of their girl scout troops.

So there has been a lot of drama over the last couple of weeks with him running to his mommy who is paying for all of it for him and her thinking that she would just be able to run over my sister like she did her ex husband. Well she has been around us long enough that she should have known better.

My sister had been trying to work with him and offered him 2 days a week plus every other weekend and then split their school breaks 50/50. So almost 50/50 but he wouldn't have nothing of it. So they finally went to court this morning for the temporary custody hearing and the judge saw right through him. He only ended up getting his 2 days off every other week. Plus since he works retail, when his days off fall during the week the kids have to be home that night so they can get ready for school the next day. So that's really only 5 hours or so that he will get with them. Long way away from that full custody he wanted.

He can still try to fight it during the final divorce hearing but hopefully he see's that the judge isn't buying what he is trying to sell.

That is great news for your sister and your whole family. I knew she would win this case! No matter what, divorce is hard on everyone but glad she came out ahead in it all, especially what she has gone through.

Now lets hope they can all get along in the future for their kid's sake - very important!

Wishing you all the best of luck!

So relieved that the judge saw right through him.

We are expecting some severe thunderstorms with winds up to 50 - 70 mph and large hail. We need the rain but we don't need the rest of that stuff along with it! It's moving into our direction now.

Good news, tomorrow the cold front will move in and will be in the lower 80's for the high!!! (Yes, that is our cold front!)

Thanks, Friend!!! Thanks to listening to me vent lately too!!

I hope they can too!!! As long as him mom doesn't keep sticking her nose in to it. They are find. It's when she starts getting involved that things start getting tense. So hopefully he will just be a grown up and leave her out of it.

I don't understand how someone can be so selfish to put their kids through something like that. We will be praying for your family.

What a jerk and a coward he is, part of being in a relationship is talking about the problems. He is selfish for the way he did that to your sister and especially the kids. I will keep them in my thoughts through this tough time.

Sadly, that is so telling about him.
Prayers for the girls during this transition.

No problem! That's what friends are for!

If his mom was smart she will keep out of it or at least try to be friendly too.

It can happen that they can become friends and it's good for the kids. My ex, father of my kids, and I are friends. We have been apart for over 20 years but get along fine, still call each other once in awhile and text each other sometimes. We have kids and grandkids, it's a must to get along! Wayne gets along with him too. I am very close to his whole family, always have been. I really hope they can do the same!

Hopefully they can model what y'all have been able to do.

Xmas365, that egg nog looks fab!!! I miss it so much but my diary allergies don't allow me to enjoy it. The dairy free stuff is not near as good!

Glad you enjoyed your lazy day. Everyone needs them!!!

I know!!!! I'm going to be so unproductive!!!

I know! Here comes to the next couple of months, of watching Christmas TV and chatting up a storm! I'm sooo excited! :)
