Good Morning all my Christmas friends. It´s a beautiful morning over here....like the last few days....the temps are more like early September.....lmao....well...it will get colder earlier enough....good for the heating costs I guess.

Today we are invited to our Friends Fanta and Fadiga, they are from Guinea and Muslims....today they celebrate Ei al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice......Abraham obeying the Lord to give his son to him)...they invited us...so we are going.....lots of good food.....usually loooooots of rice, chicken, baked banana (plantain) and african goodies.
I think it´s nice of them to invite us, and I gladly go since they too are very good people....like most muslims I know....I know many muslim families (most Muslims here in Germany came from Turkey) who join in a bit on Christmas.....some have started to get presents for their children for the 24th and even have Christmas trees.......it´s just some stupid idiots who spoil it.......we all know what I´m talking about.....

Anyway...I wish You all a great day and great weekend!!!! MaY THE lORD BLESS U

Have a nice day with your friends!

That storm came through on Thursday afternoon and tore up our town and knocked out our electricity for 24 hours. My parents, aunt, cousins and daughter's family as well lost power. We had nowhere to store our food and got as much as we could in our cooler. We all lost a lot of food. Frustrating but it can be replaced!!! We just had to make the best of it. Last report I heard that almost 200,000 people were without electricity, this morning still 80,000 people are still without. My parents had tree knocked down in our yard and so did my daughter's family. Trees and limbs are thrown all over town.

The funny part is, earlier that day I noticed a broke limb hanging down off our tree in the backyard. We are unable to reach it but since it's just hanging there I told Wayne that maybe that storm later in the day will knock it down. The storm caused lots of limbs to fall off our tree BUT that broke limb is still attached!!! Driving around town lots of tree were uprooted and some are laying on homeowner's roofs but that limb is still on my tree!!!

I have missed some time on here due to the electricity being out. I could have used my phone but I don't navigate the site too well on there and had to save battery power.

We are wanting to do something festive today, maybe go to the big Christmas store, shop for fall/Halloween goodies but not sure what yet. I guess I will report back and let you know what we do!

Have a Merry Day my Christmas Friends!!! :-x

Thank you, CAH. Much appreciated!
She had a transfusion on Wednesday, and she said she always feels better after that. Mom drove to Tomah & spent the day with her on Thursday, and took her out for lunch. Then, we were up yesterday. Glad she's been up for visitors, I'm sure it does her heart good.

Good Morning, Well-deserved Weekenders!

We've arrived at the first weekend of October. Already?! These 'ber months really do help speed up our countdown to the Christmas Season, don't they?

Let us continue on and see just how far we've made it to our favourite time of the year!

Days to the Season: 41
Days to Christmas Day: 83.

Take a peak around the corner, we are closing in on that next milestone! Yes, it is now less than half a week away! Soon, we'll be reaching the homestretch! 90% of the way to the Christmas Season is three days away! It will be a welcomed (and festive) addition to our workweek. What might Carl have planned the day after we enter the homestretch? I guess we will have to wait and see to find out!

Until then, we can enjoy this wonderful fall season!

The usual forecast of Crown's stomping grounds call for party cloudy skies and highs reaching the upper 60s with a bit of a wind! It appears that Raleigh has returned to more seasonal weather after their slight midweek heatwave.

In terms of Canada's capital, it is a seasonal and rainy morning in Ottawa. The temperature currently sits at 15c/59f and it is not expected to move until later this evening. A wet October day? Well, that sounds like a great time to do some exploring for the Christmas Blossoms thread!

Have a Stupendous Saturday, friends! I look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning for my second substitution instalment of the countdown! Until then, may a Blossoming of the Season brighten your day!

So frustrating! Hope it's not too sticky today, buddy. And a quick clean up!

Had to mop 3 times last night because the floor was so sticky. I hate to see how long it's going to take to clean it off the cabinets and appliances.
