Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high in the mid 60's. It's supposed to be the only day of the week that it doesn't rain so I'm going to try and enjoy some time outside. I also need to get some more stuff done around the apartment and may have to head out to my sister's house to do a few things for her. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let the games begin!! NHL hockey starts today!!! Big celebrations going on in Toronto as they get ready for tonight's game against Montreal. They were giving away tickets, but my van needs a new wheel bearing so I could not risk driving it that far or I would have tried for some. :x

It is a lovely sunny day here with lots of wind, so it is also a chilly day, 7c (44f)

Not working..well paid work that is. Have to do some running around and then want to get a cake baked for Saturdays family thanksgiving dinner.

We got a phone call around 5am from Thundercall warning us about a severe thunderstorm warning. It is always shocking to get a call that early, but I would rather be safe than sorry. I signed us up for Thundercall after the tornado a few years ago, since we don't have warning sirens here.

I haven't tried 'Christmas blend' before but I wanted to so it's a good reminder for myself to do so this year. :]



That's exciting. It makes me wonder when our town will switch the lights on? I can't remember when it did it last year but it definitely was way later than beginning of November so I somehow expect the similar thing this year. I guess I need to look out for rumours now. ^^

Good evening to all. I have just finished my notes for tomorrow's lecture. It was a lot to read and a lot to write because I didn't do enough work last weekend. Never do this again. :/ I am tired and my head is buzzing so I'm not staying up late. (Trying to install a new habit here too - going to bed and walking up earlier than now. My goal is to wake up at 5am every morning so I am slowly working my way towards it.)
Just wanted to share what a beautiful day it was today. Morning was the best. Sunny and crispy - second time only this fall. Such a blessing. :]

Good evening friends! It's kind of a busy one here at work and I am on break right now...eating raspberry cheesecake gelato hmm! Anyways weather here today was sunny and a high in the mid 70's ugh! still too warm for me! It's suppose to be that way through the weekend until a front comes through sunday I think then we have more seasonal weather...But the leaves are still really pretty! The meeting went well, but my anxiety levels were way too high, I hate going into large groups where I don't know many people.

I saw where a few of you were talking about Balsam Hill trees earlier today, I checked the mail and I had a brand spanking new Christmas tree catalog from them sitting in the mailbox. I do love their trees, some day I will get one.

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump Day! Happy Pines Day! I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the posts yet, but I'm working on it! My boss had a scare on the Internet last night - thought he was locked out of his computer. Got a message about having to pay to get access back. Anyway, it's all ok, but I'm running scans on all the computers here this morning . Fun fun!!

More work at the house last night! Ceiling fan is up in the new room. YAY! Stayed up too late last night, but I told my friend I would walk this morning, so I peeled myself out of bed ~ and then I was glad I did! We got to see the eclipse! Pretty cool!!

About two weeks ago two little kkitten moved in with us. They are siblings, a girl and a boy. Both are healthy and very active.

I just sped through the post and really didn't get a chance to read much. Not much time to spend on here because I have to get some chores done before the house turns into an oven. Not fun without AC! The high temp will be around 90 today.

What did catch my eye speeding through the post was the BEAUTIFUL vintage wreath you posted, Snowflake! I was scrolling fast then stopped to admire it! Ha ha!

Good Wednesday (Pinesday!) morning, my Christmas friends!

I did a bit of work on my business yesterday afternoon. I took Lulu with me, too. She loves to hang her head out of the window while we ride, and she gets lots of smiles and honks from passing cars. She's such a ham.

I'm really looking forward to our trip to the mountains in a couple weeks! It's been years since I've been in the fall.

Should be a good time to come. Right now it is rainy & much too warm. Usually Oct is a dry month for us but not this year. Our highs are in low 70s and even warmer in the valleys.

Good morning my fellow Christmas fans!! Hope everyone is doing great today!!
Like I read some others here did this morning, I got up very early to see the lunar eclipse, (probably why I feel out of it right now, on my 3rd cup of coffee lol) Unfortunately, some scattered clouds obscured a good view of it till it was almost over they moved out and got to see at least part of it, was worth getting up extra early.

Well, yesterday I was craving Starbucks Christmas Blend coffee and today I am craving eggnog!! I am now on Eggnog watch! Can't wait till our local dairies start making it.

Another fairly nice autumn day here, might spend some time out in the garage sorting through and going through boxes of Christmas stuff that I have not had a chance to go through since I moved a few years ago, plus all the boxes of stuff my fiancée brought and has been packed away out there too! I am going to go Clark Griswold this year on decorating!

Anyway hope everyone has a great day full of the Christmas spirit and it is really great to be back active here again! :smile:
