Good Morning, Everyone.

Still marching, we are.

Marching on toward that place -- that goal -- that holy grail that is Christmas Season 2014.

The numbers:

Days to the Season: 36

Days to Christmas Day: 78

Just barely over half a week to go now to the one month mark.

(One month to the Season, that is!)

Good weather is holding.

It's really a nice time of year here in NC.

But October and April are about it. The other 10 months are generally too warm and humid or too cool.

(But then, I'm getting particular in my old age. Prefer temperate climates, you see.)

Right now, we are at 56 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks.

Weekend Eve once again tomorrow, you know!

Thanks, Crown! Happy Thursday!

We had a sweet spiky visitor today

Oh my gosh! What a cutie!!!

Stopping by to say hi real quick!

I had to get my granddaughter from school today, she wasn't feeling well. She was not real bad sick, no fever or anything, just a tummy ache. She stayed with me until her dad could get off work.

I managed to get some Halloween decorations put on my porch. A little warm out so I didn't put that much out.

Have a good evening my Christmas Friends!!!

I hope your granddaughter feels better today!!! I bet your porch looks nice. With all the construction going on in our house, the only fall/Halloween decorations I have out is a few in the top cabinets (glass/lighted) of our kitchen cupboards. I have a few mums out front & I had some mini pumpkins/gourds out there too, but Miss Gracie keeps stealing them!!!

Hey everyone! Happy hump day! I was just thinking before I logged on how much I miss the days when I first joined when I was able to chat most all day, it was around the first year or 2 after I joined, I really do miss those days, most everyone from those days are still here too. Well maybe things will slow down and I will be able to especially this time of year. Now on to the weather! ugh is all I can say, everyone where I live is loving these warm and sunny temps because they all know snow and cold will be here soon enough, but I am ready for at least windy and cool weather to get here, the mornings are fine with lows in the mid 50's but yesterday and today was almost 80F in mid October! Normal lows should be in the 40's and highs in the upper 60's,I think this weekend a front comes through and then brings us around to those temps, so if I can just make it through the next 2 days I will be fine. I have already got my snowboard down and skis waxed and ready to go, although I know that the slopes will not be open until Thanksgiving weekend...same as the southeast slopes! Well I better get back to work, hope everyone has a great night at the pines!

You can do it!!!!! You can make it!!! Lol! Hope you get your cooler weather soon!!!

Good evening!
Well it turned out to be a hectic day because I had to go back to the preschool this evening for open house. I have to do the same tomorrow night so it will probably be another busy day. It's all good though. I just wanted to say hello quick before I turn in. I'm sure I'll pop in at some point tomorrow. I hope everyone is well and had a great day. Enjoy the rest of the evening.
Goodnight MMC!
xx

I hope the open house goes well tonight. Have a good day HMG!

Well, another day down here. Been a few tough ones. There is a lot of things going on here and I am getting a feeling that we are about to go down a difficult road as a district. Just a lot of worries....

I've told my boss today that I was going to look for another job. She insisted that I not, but I get the feeling that my welcome has worn out as a principal here. Stinks that it's my hometown, but it might be time for a change. I truly believe in the saying that you will either leave a hero or stay too long and die a villain. If anyone has any tips for knowing when you have wore you welcome out, I sure would appreciate it.

While it has been hard, my spirits are still high. I know that in all jobs one of three things will happen: you get fired, you leave, or you die. Someone else is going to have your job. I've always known that and been comfortable with it. No matter what, the most important thing is family and I'm blessed with that.

Didn't mean to bring a damper to the pines, but I was just would like some advice on my earlier question.

Yall have a good night!

Wow, Coach, it sounds like you're in a tough spot at work. There was a time when my job was just that disheartening. My supervisor was a micro-managing tyrant who used the folks under him to get ahead.

I interviewed for two jobs during that time, and had everything lined up...then they both suddenly fell through. I was at a loss to explain why I was stuck here in this job.

Long story short, my boss's attitude changed. By the time he got promoted up and out, we were actually friends.

I don't know if my story is in any way similar to yours, but my experience has been, "This, too, shall pass." Or, in the great words of my mother-in-law, "Now ain't always."

I'll be praying for you and your family, my friend.

Good evening,

Got home in time to hear the last few notes of the National Anthem and saw the puck drop on the Bruins season. The Bruins won the game 2-1, they scored the game winner with less than 2 minutes to go.

Today at work was pretty much a dumpster fire, everything that could go wrong went wrong before I got there, spent the whole day just playing catch up. Can't wait to go back tomorrow.

I am heading to bed, I am beat after the early phone call this morning.

Good night, everyone.

This looks heavenly. ^^ Is this picture made this year? It seems a bit too early for 'Christmas blend'. :]

Good morning everyone!

I am wide awake since 4 a.m. That's really weird but my stomach was making strange sounds all night so this probably didn't let me sleep more. It's nearly 8 a.m. now and I am starting to get sleepy. ^^ I will try to beat it with coffee and a book. :]

More reading, research and writing for me today. How 'exciting' saying the same thing over and over again. ^^

Have a nice day!

Drink up that coffee!!! Have a great day Victoria!

Morning all. It's a foggy damp October day here. Just the way I like it lol. Have a good one folks.

We hit a high of 98 degrees a couple of days ago, have been in the lower 90's all week and will remain that until tomorrow. Still no AC here but guess what? It gets fixed on Saturday when we will hit a high of 70 degrees! When it gets fixed I no longer need it. That's okay, at least it will be ready for another hot day because I know we will have a few more before the month is over.

I hope you all have a Merry Day!!! :yahoo:

A high of 70° Saturday?!? It's supposed to be 90° here!

Good morning one and all!!!! I guess it's been close to a week now since I have posted to the site...Well, we moved, all went well, it took 5 moving vans, 15 guys and 2 days to get us all moved in to our new home.... We have been steady un-packing, organizing and arranging, re-arranging the furniture to get it into a location where it all makes sense and looks good.

I have also been working out in the field all week since Monday morning, so I have not been able to log in to the internet. I will only be able to log into the internet only from work, due to we do not have any internet access from home yet.

We placed an order for a hard line to be installed to the house (the previous home owner never had that done), the cable company will have to install it underground for 800 feet, to get it to the house. They said it will take up to 2 months for that to happen, at a cost of $3500.00+/- to us....
Oh well, what can we do?

Anyhow, all is well, the house is wonderful and we are getting settled in....I will continue to check in, every chance I can at the office.

It sounds like you're enjoying your new home. I'm glad!

Good to have you back! cheesy

Nope, that is just a random stock picture I found on google, from the bag design I think that is from 2011

I have been through many job/career changes over the years, and when a job begins to feel like you describe, all you can do is hold true to what you believe is best, stick to your convictions. Others may or may not come around, but never worry about having to leave a job that is bringing more heartache than satisfaction or about wearing out your welcome because you are doing what you believe to be right! Life is too short and when one door closes, it may be rough for awhile but there could and will be something a lot better right around the corner!

Hey CJ! Great to see you back it's been a while!:snowball:

Thanks!! It is great to be back!!

That is awesome! I get the same way when I see and hear the first Christmas commercials on TV!

Good morning everyone!! Hope everyone is doing great today! Almost Friday! Really looking forward to the weekend, even though this has been a fairly great week, in fact this week flew by and since I have been active here again my spirits have been very high! Hoping the pleasant weather holds out for the weekend so I can get out to get some pictures of the fall colors, visit some local orchards and buy some fresh apples for winter baking.

Have a great day everyone and hope it is a day filled with the Christmas spirit for everyone!! :merry:

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a chilly rainy day here in central Indy with a high in the upper 50's. I have some stuff to do around the apartment this morning and then I have to head out to my sister's house. She blew me off yesterday so I should do it to her today but I'll be the nice guy. I'll have to be on the lookout on my way out too. A prisoner escaped from the local jail this morning and they have closed down part of the town while they are looking for him. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
