Good afternoon, friends! How are you all doing? All is well here! It's the weekend for me! DH is working at the fire department and teaching all weekend, so the kids and I will be hanging out together. We're meeting my parents, sister, and her boyfriend for dinner, then the kids and I are going to come home, watch a movie, make some popcorn, and have a sleep over. Fun is in store and I'm looking forward to it!

Back from our day out. A fine lunch and fun browsing through zillions of books. I got a book of Good Housekeeping Christmas article reprints spanning 1992 to 1962, and a Reader's Digest boxed set that includes a book of Christmas stories, crafts, and recipes, a Christmas CD, and a Christmas songbook. And a word/card game that we can play with. Time to settle in and enjoy the evening!

We rented bikes on Washington Island today, and had a fabulous time exploring. A local pulled over on the side of the road and asked us if we had seen a special church, we had not, so she gave us directions. We found this beautiful gem nestled in the woods! Amazing and very spiritual!! It is left open up for people to come in and pray.

Well my Colts are doing everything they can to give this game away. It's went from 24-0 to 33-28. so I'm going to sign off so I can sit here my fingers crossed that they can hold on.

Stopping by to say hi real quick!

I had to get my granddaughter from school today, she wasn't feeling well. She was not real bad sick, no fever or anything, just a tummy ache. She stayed with me until her dad could get off work.

I managed to get some Halloween decorations put on my porch. A little warm out so I didn't put that much out.

Well, another day down here. Been a few tough ones. There is a lot of things going on here and I am getting a feeling that we are about to go down a difficult road as a district. Just a lot of worries....

I've told my boss today that I was going to look for another job. She insisted that I not, but I get the feeling that my welcome has worn out as a principal here. Stinks that it's my hometown, but it might be time for a change. I truly believe in the saying that you will either leave a hero or stay too long and die a villain. If anyone has any tips for knowing when you have wore you welcome out, I sure would appreciate it.

While it has been hard, my spirits are still high. I know that in all jobs one of three things will happen: you get fired, you leave, or you die. Someone else is going to have your job. I've always known that and been comfortable with it. No matter what, the most important thing is family and I'm blessed with that.

Didn't mean to bring a damper to the pines, but I was just would like some advice on my earlier question.
