It's a Monday off for me. Not entirely happy, but that's how it goes! I am hopeful that this morning off will give me the opportunity to drive to Passport and ensure that my final timesheets have been submitted. They still owe me about $2000+ in pay - not including my final paycheck. They really messed up, somehow. I've been struggling to pay bills for the past month and a half because of it.

It's a beautiful sunny morning in Ottawa. Chilly, too! We're only to reach a high of around 7c today (lower to mid 40s). Brrr! November is here.

I am usually great with realizing certain specifics about dates, but I did not notice that this is the final full week before the beginning of the Christmas Season. Wow! Thanks for pointing that out, Crown. I should have realized it last night while Kim and I were planning our calendar on the refrigerator and said that we would begin decorating for Christmas on Friday, November 14. What an exciting night that will be!

Despite being off, I think today should be somewhat of a busy day. Have a great Monday, everyone! Hope your workweek starts off on the right foot!

Good evening,

Finally all caught up, I was trying to get caught up last night and I fell asleep. The last week finally caught up with me. I didn't get any decorating done yesterday, we went to 4 stores trying to find some of the stuff I needed. None of the stores had it. They were just starting to put out their Christmas stuff, I was so disappointed.

Day off tomorrow, the little demons have it off too, so not much relaxing tomorrow. I may try to get some decorating done tomorrow.

Banana bread is out of the oven, so I think it's time to try and get some sleep. Mom has another doctor's appointment for Social Security tomorrow and it's an hour away again. Add the fact that it's going to be raining, and I'm not really looking forward to the drive. Oh well though. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Morning all! Haven't been around for a few days, been so busy!! Hope you all had a great halloween!! we did! the girls dressed up and looked great!

Its been a mad few weeks in my new job, its abit surreal at the moment as Ive been promoted! ive only worked for them 8week! They are a big company but have only just started working in schools in the area i live, we only have 9 or 10 schools here so far, the area manager for this area has left so they offered the position to me!! Im just training my replacement this week then start from monday!

50 days to christmas! Can not believe ill be putting my tree up in 3 week!!! OMG!!

Well gotta dash to take the girls to breakfast club so I can get to work! Have a great day xmas friends!!! xx:snowball:

Morning Claire, it's good to see you! Congratulations on the promotion !!! That is incredible!!! I didn't realise you had started a new job! I am so glad to hear it is all working out!

Glad to hear you all had a good Halloween. Crazy to think we are so close to Christmas, I hope it slows down a bit now to be honest! They switch on lights this Friday in the city!

Merry Morning all! My eldest resumed school today after mid term break. Missing him :)

Tomorrow is Guy Fawkes/Bonfire night here! People usually go crazy with the fireworks , hopefully it won't carry on till to late.

We are experiencing an Arctic Blast for the rest of the week - it's the coldest it's been for the year!

As we had such high temps over the last few days, the sudden cold will take some getting use to! :cold:

Anyway, I have some work to catch up on , some house work to do and I need to start some Christmas shopping online!
