Christmas Countdown - 2014

I like it! I haven't yet given in to listening to Christmas music, but it's coming!

Jacob bought this for me at a yard sale this weekend:

I really like his version of "Twelve Days." I don't have that album, but it's on one of the Firestone compilations albums from the 1960s that my parents had (and now I have it).

Even though we had an extra hour of sleep this weekend due to the end of Daylight Saving ... it's still Monday. At least it's one Monday closer to the Christmas season! I hope it's a good Monday for everyone.

Good early evening, I guess! It's nearly 5pm here and it's dark outside so I believe I can call it an evening. ^^
My presentation earlier today went very well, and I am so happy about it! I wasn't able to mention some of the things I had had in mind because I already went over the time limit (8 minutes) but other than that, everything went great. :] Well, at least it feels to me that way because the grades will only come out in couple of weeks. Fingers crossed. ^^
It's been a long day. Listening to other 23 presentations was exhausting.
Also, the university online system was working perfectly fine today so I uploaded my essay there in the afternoon which means one more assessment down. Yay! ^^
Despite the fact that it got unbelievably cloudy in the afternoon and the rain started pouring as if there is no tomorrow, I can call it a great day. :]
I hope you all feel the same.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's Novembrrrr around here, for sure! We've had a frost three days in a row...at the beginning of November! I likee!

We hade a good weekend, even if we did stay on the road the whole time. I finally went out to check the StealthCam yesterday, but I had accidentally set it to record video, so the SD card was full of videos of a little "nubbin'" buck and a doe. They were very curious about the camera LOL.

The local farmers are harvesting (combining, as we say around here, pronounced with emphasis on the com and the bining) the cotton. I snapped a quick shot of the field next to mom's house:
