I have to share this picture....
After work yesterday I was getting ready to get my hair cut/colored when I hear Gracie FLLLYING down the steps. I thought "What is she doing??" I walk out into the TV room & there she is with this hat in her mouth doing like dogs do "KILLING IT!!!" CRACKED me up! I had to take a pic & send it to Jim before I chased her all over the house trying to get it from her....YEP, she's a BROWNS fan!!!



It was just too funny that of all days, she chose "The Battle of Ohio" to steal his hat - she has never messed with it before. Love that girl!!!

My cousins from Florida & Pittsburgh are coming into town today. The Pitt peeps are staying til Sunday & Florida til Monday. Will be nice to see them again. We have a get together at my brothers tomorrow night with my other cousins & my family! Fun stuff. Tomorrow morning I'm going with the lake ladies to Christmas open houses in a quaint town about 45 min from here. I'm pretty excited about that!!!! AND today is furniture day! It should be delivered somewhere between 2-3:00! YAY!!! I need to figure out what I'm going to bring to my brothers party & find a time when I'm going to make it yet too... EEK! Lol!

Santa Claus is real.

Yep, you heard it here. The world may tell you otherwise, but I’m telling ya the truth. Santa is real. As we grow older, we become more skeptical of Santa, but don't ever doubt Santa.

How do I know?

When I was a kid, I saw the carrots on the roof that the reindeer ate. How else would those carrots get there? THEY WERE EVEN CHEWED(or so our little minds told us). Every Thanksgiving night, my brother and I would set out our letters to Santa and a few hours later, we would hear this bell ring from outside. That bell let us know that Santa’s elves came and got our letter. How else could you explain us getting the things we asked for during Christmas? What about the milk and cookies we set out every Christmas Eve? Where did those go? HELLO! They went to Santa!

Have you ever tracked Santa? Do you remember the newscasts when Santa showed up on the radar on the local news at 6:00 and 10:00? For crying out loud…NORAD tracks him! You can’t fake that!

Santa Claus isn’t real? Have you ever seen “The Santa Clause” parts 1,2, and 3? Are you telling me these aren’t real? Tim “The Toolman” Taylor is Santa! He has to be!

More importantly, have you ever seen Santa walk into a room full of kids? Have you ever seen them in line to see Santa at the mall? Have you ever seen the look on their faces, heard the excitement in their voices?

Friends, that anticipation in their eyes speaks to all of us. It says that Santa, in a way, is as real as it gets and Christmas is good. That look says I love the people who brought me to see Santa and I can’t wait to spend Christmas morning with these people. This, my friends, the feelings, the anticipation, the love….you can’t fake that.

As we get older, that feeling is what we are left hanging on to. Some people go through life and never lose that feeling, while some of us lose it and come back to it later in life. Regardless, the feeling of family, love, Christmas with those who mean the most….that is the same feeling we got on Christmas morning when we “believed.” You can’t deny that feeling, you can’t hide it, and you sure can’t fake it. That feeling is how I know Santa is real. That feeling is what we live for.

Santa is real, friends. He is alive and in all of our hearts. I believe in Santa and I believe in the Christmas spirit. And like Christmas, Santa is coming….

And like Christmas is coming, and like is Santa coming….so is “Little Bambina #2”. May God Bless you as much as he has my little family in the past week.

“Then my kids will be gone and have their own families and will decide if they will tell their kids the truth about Santa Claus. And, in that moment, I hope when they think back on all the Christmases that they spent with us growing up…I hope they smile. I hope they remember the love we shared together…the anticipation of Christ…the anticipation of Santa.”

And so it comes to this…..5 more days until the season….

Ugh, trying to find all the dead bulbs in a pre-lit tree is the pits! Especially when some of them poop out on you AFTER the tree is decorated, and half a string goes out. I hope the replacements you're making now will take care of it for this year!

I just got a text from Adrian asking me to pick up more replacement bulbs, grrr! [emoji39]

well you both helped me to make up my mind. Thinking will need a new tree next year, will definitely not be getting a pre-lit one. They sound like a lot more trouble than they are worth. I do not mind putting lights up anyway, like to change it up every year.

My bosses had a meeting this morning, so I have "Snow Bride" on the Hallmark Channel right now ~ I was thinking at 10:00 when Home & Family comes on, I'll switch over to HMC! I just realized that The Bishops Wife is on HMC right now. Oh the decisions. I just LOVE both movies!!! What to do, what to do?! :lol: I LOVE having Christmas on tv! LOVE it!!

Aurthur Christmas is on here this afternoon, will be watching that! Do not get Hallmark channel here in Canada, boarder guards will not let is cross, I guess it does not have proper passport of something.

my girls both have the mini ones because they live in small apartments and do not have the room for anything bigger.
LittleCS discovered they do not hold a lot of decorations or they tip over LOL

What are your plans for the day?
I plan to continue to work on my tree, I got about half of it decorated before my cousin came over, then I spent the rest of the evening catching up with her. And then tonight, watching football. Go Pack, Go!! We are bracing ourselves for the first real snowfall of the year- starting off with a bang! Winter storm warning starts tonight through Tuesday. High winds, dropping temps, blowing & drifting, 8-12 inches expected. Will be gorgeous, but not looking forward to the commutes. The plows aren't too on top of things here. They wait until 3 inches fall to even begin. [emoji301]️ [emoji300]️[emoji301]️[emoji300]️[emoji301]️

You guys are the best, thank you so much.
As much as I love Christmas I will never ever think it's right that the stores are now open on Thanksgiving Day.

I still think if stores want to be open Thanksgiving then those who own them should be working and sticky volunteers who actually do not mind working on a holiday can help.
Of course if folks refused to shop then there would be no reason to open the stores at all.

Good morning, everyone!

One more day left in the workweek, although to me it seems as if it never really started! I had a great day teaching yesterday, and I only have a half day today. It is a little surprising, but I guess it's about right. After all, report cards were just given out about a week ago. Usually teachers don't need sick days right after report cards. Hopefully they will need a few more after this week! I am expecting at least four days next week. I already have two booked.

It's a little chilly and windy this morning in Ottawa. Temperatures with windchill are a little below freezing. I've heard rumours that there was snow outside the city. In Ottawa, however, we did not receive any. We could see some mixed precipitation tonight, and they are forecasting for snow on Sunday. Interesting! I was really hoping to wait for the winter tires, but perhaps I should put them on by next Tuesday?

Well, I think it is time to start getting ready. A week from today, we will be in the second day of the Christmas Season! Wow. Enjoy your Friday, everyone! The weekend will soon be here.

we have had light snow on and off for a couple of days, just enough to see it was snowing, but nothing stuck. This morning was white and chilly. I have had winter tires on for a couple of weeks now, forced into it due to a flat tire, just easier to put the winters on right away.
