Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be another cold one here with a high in the mid 30's. Right now we are standing at 24 degree's. We may also see some flurries off and on over the next couple of days. Then they are saying that we way need to break out the shovels this weekend. Boo!!!!! The party wore me out last night and I crashed hard when I went to bed. It was my best night of sleep in a long time. Maybe we should all get together more often. LOL!!!! I want to run to the grocery store today before the Turkeys get all picked over. It's been weird to hear Xmas talk about dealing with all of those turkeys at work because the stores here haven't had them out yet. They all have them in their ads this morning though, so I'm assuming they finally put them out. Even thought it's only going to be the 4 of us, I was unsuccessful in the bid for doing a smaller meal. Everyone wants lots of leftovers to eat on over the next week. So I guess I'm still going to be cooking a 20 some pound turkey. I also have a few other errands to run while I'm out. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Lol ~ it's all about the tradition!! Good luck turkey hunting. I'm glad you slept well last night! I did too, couldn't believe it when my alarm went off though - I was still tired!! Stay warm ~ I hope you see some flurries!!! xx

Man you guys are on a roll already this morning!!! LOL!!!

Good morning, friends! Merry Christmas Season 2014! I really enjoyed last evening with all of you! What a blast it was! What will be even more fun is counting down to Christmas!

What are your plans for today? Both of the kids are at school, so DH and I are going to head out and run some errands. I have to go and order my dress for my SIL's wedding that is Mother's Day Weekend this coming year. We're also going to run to the mall and do a couple of things.

When the kids come home from school today, Elfie, our Elf on the Shelf, will be at our house, for the season, from the North Pole. I can't wait! The kids will be excited too!

Hope you all have a wonderful day! Ttyl! God Bless and keep smiling!

How exciting!!! :elf: Have fun shopping! Think of me freezing here at work! Have a great day!

A Thursday hello to all! :-) (This time it's REALLY Thursday.)

I'll be going back through last night's posts as time permits. I was there in spirit, but in reality I was spending the evening with my Mr. (as I was able to leave the office at 5 p.m. yesterday! cheesy ) getting caught up with him and relaxing, and getting some much-needed sleep. I can only say what others of you said: You're the best bunch on the Internet, and I feel honored to consider you my friends. I love spending the season with you all, even though I'm not present for the Countdown.

How nice that you were able to get out at 5:00 last night! Enjoy your day off tomorrow!!!!

Good morning, sugar!
I work today, but Adrian is taking me to lunch, so looking forward to that.
It is rather chilly here, so we are going to one of my favorite places, Grizzly's. It has lodge decor and a huge cobblestone fireplace that we sit near. Cozy!
Have fun with DH! And Elfie!
Enjoy your day~

:celebrate:

Awe ~ I want to go along to that restaurant with the cobblestone fireplace! Sounds amazing. ENJOY!!!

I'm seeing snow flurries!!!!

:snowball:

I am sure that we are all familiar with the story of the German and British military Christmas Truce of 1914. Has anyone seen this video yet? It's a short 3 minute commercial that, I think, speaks volumes around these parts!

Where is that lear????

It's snowing harder now!!!

Evening all! So many of you are having snow - what an amazing way to kick of the season!

I just got back from the school run and I think I partly flew there and back. Gale force winds here. I saw my neighbours big black bin roll to the end of the street pushed by the wind. I ran down the street behind it aided by the force of the wind and I tell you that was an experience LOL!!!!

The flurries are beautiful! Glistening when the sun hits them!

Stay safe & warm, Sam!! Those winds sound powerful!

Sun? Lol! Haven't seen that today! :cold:

Yes, it is a great story. Hope you get the chance to see it shortly, MC!

Thanks! I bought the Mormon Tabernacle Choir DVD where they tell the story with music and readings. Very moving.

Forgot to mention---Mr. had to pick up a few things at Walmart yesterday. He saw a "I Triple Dog Dare You" Christmas Story t-shirt there and bought one for me as a surprise. He's the best!

Thank you! Hoping it's an easier day today. I have tomorrow off. I have a lot of stuff to take care of at home, but I'm hoping to save an hour or two for a Christmas movie or special. I got a hand blender this week, so I can make my own single-serving eggnog. (The local dairy isn't making their vanilla eggnog this year, so I'll be making my own, one mug at a time.) Or maybe some cocoa ... we'll see what tomorrow brings!

Thank you! We generally squeeze in some couch time watching movies or video before bedtime, but with work being so busy lately, we've missed some evenings.

You have a great start of the season, too! If I can spare the time this weekend, I want to make my annual trip to the local garden center and spend an hour or two wandering among their Christmas trees, ornaments, decorations, villages, and more. I started that tradition a few years ago, between the start of the season and Thanksgiving. The feeling of being surrounded by Christmas is wonderful.

Thank you! Sounds like you have some fun times planned a head! I have some fun things planned for us as well! I work this weekend, but plan to still watch some Christmas movies and spend time with DH and the kids.

Enjoy yourself!
