Good evening everyone. I ended up spending the entire day cleaning the house, it really needed it. That dust from the construction gets in to every nook & cranny. I'm glad that's over with. My back hurts and I'm exhausted so I'm going to turn in soon. I just read through the posts quick, I'll try & catch up tomorrow. I will be keeping you all in my prayers. See you in the morning ~

[Festive Spirit]

Hello everyone! First congrats to all the folks getting snow...we are cold in the 20's but sunny and no snow in the forecast until tues the 25th! My baby sister and bro in law are coming to my house and Brandi's folks are coming in from Boston so I pray no snow storms are going to hinder their travels.

I have to admit friends, that I have been in no Christmas mood this year...I am trying I really am but so far no go. I guess it's a lot of things without turning this post into a therapy session, but turning 40 in 2 weeks has got me bummed...not a lot of ppl may not understand I and I get that, but just trust me it's an issue for me..but anyway I have enjoyed the Halloween fall season, and I get a little sad when the leaves are all gone from the trees. In the years I have been a member here I have always had the spirit and so I practically lived online here...so I just hope between now and December I will have the spirit!!! Hope everyone is hunkered down for this winter storms that is plowing through the Midwest,Ohio valley,Northeast today and tomorrow...and then the artic air that is following!!

So sorry to hear . The thing about birthdays is sometimes you just got to forget about them I know some people are all about celebrating etc. But getting older can be daunting. Alleviate the pressure by remembering a birthday doesn't actually change anything and age really is just a number. See it as a year of all that you have accomplished not the things that you might not have.

I know that sometimes it can be difficult to feel the Christmas spirit. I hope that enjoying some of your favourite music, movies, memories and holidays activities can rekindle the spark for you. Don't put pressure on yourself, just take a deep breath and see what happens.

Merry Monday!! Long day yesterday, I ended up doing some shopping online after work. Finally making some progress with gifts.

Today I have some more cleaning to do . I have had to d my deep cleaning over a few days. it's not possible with my toddler and work etc otherwise. Fingers crossed decorations come down from the loft tonight so I can start!

Made - Glad to hear your niece's birthday party went well.

Ryan - Hope your sinus infection clears up soon. Love the photo of the snow.

Brent - Prayers for Kim's grandma. How unexpected for you guys. I hope she makes a full recovery.

Everyone else I am glad you had such a fun weekend.
