Hello all. Well I survived my 16 hour workday in Friday but now I've got a pretty nasty sinus infection. I think I'll be missing church this week.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a chilly one here with a high of 34. We did get some snow overnight and thankfully it just stuck to the grass, building's, and cars. It doesn't sound like that is going to be the case tonight though. We are now up to 3 to 5 inches. Then Tuesday, it's going to be bitterly cold with a high of 22. At least it looks like we start warming back up some after that. Today I have to head out to my sister's for my niece's birthday party. I hope they will understand when I turn the tv on to the final Nascar race of the year and switch over to the football games too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to your niece, I hope she had a wonderful day!

Things on my mind today. More trouble may be on the way. We should know more later tomorrow.

Hello everyone! First congrats to all the folks getting snow...we are cold in the 20's but sunny and no snow in the forecast until tues the 25th! My baby sister and bro in law are coming to my house and Brandi's folks are coming in from Boston so I pray no snow storms are going to hinder their travels.

I have to admit friends, that I have been in no Christmas mood this year...I am trying I really am but so far no go. I guess it's a lot of things without turning this post into a therapy session, but turning 40 in 2 weeks has got me bummed...not a lot of ppl may not understand I and I get that, but just trust me it's an issue for me..but anyway I have enjoyed the Halloween fall season, and I get a little sad when the leaves are all gone from the trees. In the years I have been a member here I have always had the spirit and so I practically lived online here...so I just hope between now and December I will have the spirit!!! Hope everyone is hunkered down for this winter storms that is plowing through the Midwest,Ohio valley,Northeast today and tomorrow...and then the artic air that is following!!

Good Sunday evening, everyone!

I hope you've all enjoyed your first weekend of the Christmas Season. Kim and I were quite busy. I have barely had any time to sit on the computer.

I am quite happy that I got to enjoy watching a nice Packers victory today. I am sure that snowflake enjoyed it even more so from the northeast end zone! What a victory!!

I took some photos this weekend at Bayshore Shopping Centre. I was fairly disappointed in the overall mall decorations, but there were a few neat things. I'll post the photos in the Blossoms thread momentarily.

On a very serious note, could you please send your positivities to Kim and her family. Her grandmother (84), suffered a massive heartattack last night. They are not quite sure if she will make it. She is currently in ICU at Cornwall. She is aware and reacting to those around her, but she is continuously falling asleep - more than likely from the drugs. Your help would be appreciated. Kim's grandmother is a wonderful lady and I really would love to see her pull through this. She has plenty to live for! Thanks, everyone!!!

I hope you are feeling better! It must be going around. Hubby was on the couch most of the morning with a bad headache - he was thinking it was sinus. He rarely gets a headache, so that was strange. I woke up with a low grade fever & a sore throat. Been a pretty lazy day around here. You supper sounds yummy!!! Have a great day HMG!

[Festive Spirit]

Have fun with the decorating, would love to see pictures when you are done. Are you doing a "theme" ? I just put up what ever I have in the box downstairs. When my kids were that age they got to "help" with toy vacuums, aprons on. Hands in sink washing dishes, which later turned into washing the floor since it was wet anyway. Would line up the kitchen chairs in the living room and they played train with stuffed toys while the floor dried. It was fun.

I have cleaning to do today too, some baking and a bit of running around. All that provided I do not get called into work.

Thanks , I am so excited about getting the Christmas stuff down. I am not sure what to call my decorating style lol I guess there is no one theme. We have a mixture of favourites and oldies . I'll be sure to post photos as soon as I start!

Yes, the kids are always willing to help Sometimes it can make things go a little slower though lol When I was little , I was always excited to help mum with the 'big clean' before Christmas. It was a big deal for us getting the house ready for the season.

I hope you get you chores done today. I am finished for the day. time to pick up my other son and start the evening routine.

P.S. CS never mind about not placing in the cake competition, your always number one with us - that cake was amazing!

We got about 2 inches of snow and thankfully the roads and sidewalks stayed warm enough for it to melt as it hit them during most of it. So there was only a dusting on them to be swept off this morning. It looks like we may see some more snow showers before the day is over though. Not a whole lot on my agenda for today. Just going to work on cleaning the apartment in preparation for decorating and Thanksgiving. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

My brother and I took off Saturday afternoon to see the movie I'd been dying to see for half a year, Interstellar. It had great effects, and it was thought provoking, but it got pretty weird at the end. I gotta think about it some more.

Elizabeth has late practices at dance this week leading up to a performance next weekend. Thursday is her birthday, and she'll have to practice till late. Of course, she'd probably rather dance on her birthday, than do anything else!

Day off but I have lots to do, I'm heading out as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. I have a list of things that I need for the kitchen and also for Thanksgiving day. I plan on going to Target, HomeGoods and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Then back home to work on daily chores and make Italian Wedding Soup for dinner. Maybe some online Christmas shopping if I have time this afternoon!

Just wanted to share, the window seat is almost finished. My husband just needs to cut down the length of the blinds. We originally put sheers up under the valance but I didn't like it, there was just way too much going on. Too many pillows & too much fabric, reminded me of the inside of Jeannie's bottle. lol
