Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

My brother and I took off Saturday afternoon to see the movie I'd been dying to see for half a year, Interstellar. It had great effects, and it was thought provoking, but it got pretty weird at the end. I gotta think about it some more.

Elizabeth has late practices at dance this week leading up to a performance next weekend. Thursday is her birthday, and she'll have to practice till late. Of course, she'd probably rather dance on her birthday, than do anything else!

I am looking forward to Interstellar. The Nolan brothers always have very interesting concepts for their plots. Glad you got to see it !

Just wanted to share, the window seat is almost finished. My husband just needs to cut down the length of the blinds. We originally put sheers up under the valance but I didn't like it, there was just way too much going on. Too many pillows & too much fabric, reminded me of the inside of Jeannie's bottle. lol

I bet you are looking forward to wrapping up the finishing touches . It really is worth the wait. It looks really good and you all will have so many happy times there now as it 's finished.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a cold day here with a high temp in the mid 20's. We got about 2 inches of snow and thankfully the roads and sidewalks stayed warm enough for it to melt as it hit them during most of it. So there was only a dusting on them to be swept off this morning. It looks like we may see some more snow showers before the day is over though. Not a whole lot on my agenda for today. Just going to work on cleaning the apartment in preparation for decorating and Thanksgiving. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

How exciting about thanksgiving. Do you have thanksgiving decorations or do you just put up Christmas?

At least no shovelling today then ! Fingers crossed you don't have nearly as much shovelling as you did last winter LOL! Have a great day!

Good evening,

I finally started decorating today, I got all of the indoor lights and garland up, and placed a few Santas out. I will go at it more in Tuesday.

I was glad to see my Bengals won today, I forgot they were playing until halfway through the game.

Just watching Home Alone, it is on TBS tonight.

Good evening everyone. I ended up spending the entire day cleaning the house, it really needed it. That dust from the construction gets in to every nook & cranny. I'm glad that's over with. My back hurts and I'm exhausted so I'm going to turn in soon. I just read through the posts quick, I'll try & catch up tomorrow. I will be keeping you all in my prayers. See you in the morning ~

[Holiday]

Merry Monday!! Long day yesterday, I ended up doing some shopping online after work. Finally making some progress with gifts.

Today I have some more cleaning to do . I have had to d my deep cleaning over a few days. it's not possible with my toddler and work etc otherwise. Fingers crossed decorations come down from the loft tonight so I can start!

Made - Glad to hear your niece's birthday party went well.

Ryan - Hope your sinus infection clears up soon. Love the photo of the snow.

Brent - Prayers for Kim's grandma. How unexpected for you guys. I hope she makes a full recovery.

Snowing again this morning, I just may have to break down and get some boots !
Now that cake competition is in the past I can relax and work on other things.
Cleaning and laundry first today...well, breakfast and visiting you all over a cup of tea was first. Now I will get busy and pop in here from time to time.

Day off but I have lots to do, I'm heading out as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. I have a list of things that I need for the kitchen and also for Thanksgiving day. I plan on going to Target, HomeGoods and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Then back home to work on daily chores and make Italian Wedding Soup for dinner. Maybe some online Christmas shopping if I have time this afternoon!

I'm debating, I have my fall decorations that I never put out this year. So I may put some of them out. Then I start thinking that I might just go ahead and start putting my Santa's out. It also depends on if we are going to have Thanksgiving here at my apartment. Right now that is the plan but it may change if my BIL has to work Thanksgiving morning and my sister gets to keep my Niece's until he gets off. So we will see what the week brings, I guess.

I don't even want to think about tomorrow!!!! They were talking -10 to -15 wind chills here in the morning!!! Mom is supposed to go in for a blood test but I think it may get put off until Wednesday.

Looks like it's almost lunch time here... I haven't heard from the contractors yet - they are supposed to come sometime today to put up trim & the door to the crawl space! Looking fwd to getting that done!!!

Good afternoon, everyone!

The snow is sure falling in Russell today. I think 5-10cms throughout the day is in the forecast. It's a little early, especially since I have yet to put on my winter tires! Uh oh!

It's been an all right day of teaching thus far. I am in the computer lab all day. It's kind of boring, but easy...

Thanks to everyone for their kind words, thoughts, and positivities for Kim's grandmother and her family. The updates last night seemed positive. The real unfortunate part is that there is a lot of hesitancy to do anything to her from a medical standpoint because of her age (84). They may be moving her from Cornwall to Ottawa for a week, though, to ensure that she has the proper and top-notch medical care here. If the do move her, we'll happily go visit her on a nightly basis.

Well, it's lunch time. I hope you all have been enjoying your Monday. Oh, I almost forgot... It should be noted that the office inside the high school here has their Christmas decorations up! It certainly felt nice to see it this morning. A great way to start the day! Merry Christmas!

That is great that the office had their Christmas decorations up! We saw a lot of them as well on our way to Green Bay yesterday!

Good morning/afternoon everyone! It's a nice day here cold for November,but we are going to be warming up to the 50's later in the week before a new ice/snow storm comes on tues of next week. I am just finishing up giving everyone breakfast and cleaning up the kitchen before I get in trouble when I get home tonight from work. It looks awful wet on the east coast today and the upper Midwest temps for the next few days are just unreal....speaking of which I saw the funniest thing online yesterday...it was a picture of a polor vortex..it had pictures of Polor bears coming out of like a funnel cloud...literally a polar vortex..I have a feeling that phrase will be one of the most overused one in 2014. Really in terms of Meteorology it happens all the time just not as drastic. Anyway, I am getting ready to try really try to watch the cooking network without pigging out before work...heavy meals then work just don't mix for me..have a great Monday everyone...!
