A new day.

A new week.

The month of CHRISTMAS!

It's here!

Now UNDER 3 1/2 weeks away.

(Hey. I can almost taste the eggnog!)





Well, a nice warm respite yesterday and it is predicted to be even warmer today before we turn cool (and wet) again tomorrow.

We have started off the new week at 50 degrees here in our little part of the MMC nation.

Good evening,

It has been a long day here, I feel like I need a weekend from my weekend.
I was setting up our 6.5' tree and the branches kept falling apart as I was taking them out of the box. So then we went out and checked out the trees at Lowe's, nothing in the size we were looking for all too big.
Then to Walmart, absolutely nothing, all the trees were way too cheap looking.
On to Kmart, found one we liked, but they were sold out, found another we liked but weren't convinced so left there empty handed.
We decided to do some research online, I checked out a bunch of sites, and stores online and finally found the "perfect" tree at Home Depot. So LC and I went down to Home Depot, found the tree, it looked so perfect in the online picture, but in person it was very Charlie Brownesque, looked at others, but too tall or too expensive.
Next, a second Lowe's, same as the first, nada.
Sears, fell in love with one as soon as I saw it, waaaaaaay to expensive as in $419, if I could have spent that much I would have ordered a Balsam Hill, which some day I will get.
Macy's, one tree left, too expensive, and no display models to see.
Kohl's they had two tree styles, I picked one up looked at it, but put it back down. It just looked too sparse.
I decided to swing by Kmart and check out the one we liked but weren't convinced. Finally after seeing the floor model and how full it was and the cool LED lights that blink from colored to white. I finally made the decision on that one. We got the last one! It is all set up, and ready to be decorated, it is beautiful.....

Wow!
After all that, we simply MUST see a photo, either here or in the Blossoms thread.
......Or both!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I am turkey-ed out...for at least a week! I've eaten like a king this week, and it shows. I have to cut back a bit in anticipation of Christmas of planned excesses. :wink:

It was a great four day weekend, but I wish I'd had more time to spend with the kids. They are getting too big, too fast!

Now it's back to business as usual. I'm talking mom to a doctor's appointment in Jacksonville tomorrow. Just a regular visit, nothing serious.

Welcome to December, MMC!!!!!!! Where has the year gone? It seems like just yesterday I was planning my trip to visit Snowflake and that was 7 months ago now. I hope this month doesn't fly by as quickly!!!!! It's going to be a chilly day here with a cold front moving in and causing the temps to drop through out the day. It's going to be cloudy and overcast too. Boo!!!!! I don't have a lot going on today. I just need to do some cleaning after the long weekend and then I want to work on getting my Christmas cards finished. I may do some online shopping too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I've been very busy cooking and baking to start up my new little business.....my soups are selling, and I have some orders for Holiday baking. Soon I will be providing meals to some of the seniors at my residence!​

Good Morning MMC !!

Daughter is all moved in , my living room looks like it was hit by two major storms now that all except one shelf unit has been moved out. Major cleaning to do and then on Saturday at last the tree goes up !!!

Van working again. They decided it was not the $400 fuel pump but the $15 wire connector to the battery. Doing the happy dance here !!!

Going through serious internet withdrawal! I have to wait 8 more days. Maybe I will visit my daughter and bring my lap top tomorrow.

I would appreciate prayers. My step-grandfather was rushed to the hospital this morning. He has advanced cancer and has not been doing good. He is not expected to make Christmas.

My grandma just lost her son (my dad) a couple of months ago and is about to lose her second husband to cancer. Prayers would be appreciated!

Thanksgiving was a great five days off work. It was fantastic to have some relaxing time with the family. The outside decorations are up and we plan get our tree up Friday night. About 75% of the shopping is done also. My wife even did some early baking over the weekend. I hope all of you have a great week.
