Christmas Countdown - 2014

Welcome to December, MMC!!!!!!! Where has the year gone? It seems like just yesterday I was planning my trip to visit Snowflake and that was 7 months ago now. I hope this month doesn't fly by as quickly!!!!! It's going to be a chilly day here with a cold front moving in and causing the temps to drop through out the day. It's going to be cloudy and overcast too. Boo!!!!! I don't have a lot going on today. I just need to do some cleaning after the long weekend and then I want to work on getting my Christmas cards finished. I may do some online shopping too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I would appreciate prayers. My step-grandfather was rushed to the hospital this morning. He has advanced cancer and has not been doing good. He is not expected to make Christmas.

My grandma just lost her son (my dad) a couple of months ago and is about to lose her second husband to cancer. Prayers would be appreciated!

Hi there,
it´s been a straining day today....when I got to my mom´s, she told me how bad our male cat Tiger is doing (both Tiger and Pacey and my mom´s and my cat....I left them with mom, when I and Kandice moved out....so she wouldn´t be so alone...and I didn´t want to get Tiger and Pacey out of their environment).........He must have been in terrible pain....he even laid down in his litter box....he wouldn´t run away if someone came to pick him......quite contrary....he wanted to be picked and cuddled.....He couldn´t walk no more....He was limping badly........We were crying and thought after all the struggles in the last 13 and half years....his life might come to an end..........We took him to the vet and were afraid he would not come back home alive no more...............Well.........it looks like he has athrose and straining or tore some ligament...that´s all........So eventho I´m sad he´s in pain.....I´m glad it´s nothing "serious"

Aw, poor Tiger! He is in my prayers, track! I am so sorry you had to go through such a stressful time. It is so hard when our fur kids start to get up there in age and every trip to the vet's feels like it could be the last one. {{{HUGS}}}

Good afternoon MMC!! I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get caught up since Thursday, but I'll try!! I never made it on here over the weekend, but I was thinking of you all!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

We had such a nice Thanksgiving day ~ the in-laws were all over for lunch & they stayed til about 4:30. The addition to our house worked out well to have everyone over!! :smile: Then we went to my sisters for my side's Thanksgiving. Not everyone was there, but most were & it was nice! Friday I did a little black Friday shopping with a friend. We filled up the back of her Durango! Lol! Friday night we had friends over (2 couples) who we hardly ever get to see anymore, so that was very nice! Lots of fun & laughs! Then the weekend turned sad. If you remember I mentioned that my friends were traveling to Boston for Thanksgiving. Well, their oldest son (19) didn't go along. He's in college & he works, so he stayed back. Friday night he struck & killed a pedestrian - an 18 year old from a neighboring town. As you can imagine my friend is an absolute basket case ~ she already lost 2 sisters in 2 separate traffic accidents. Makes ya wonder how much that poor family can handle. What a long drive home from Boston for them!!! Saturday night my friend & co-worker's Mom unexpectedly passed away. Our HS football team won state semi's - his Mom had a stomach ache (she has ulcers) so she stayed home & was going to listen to the game on the radio. When my friends Dad got home from the game, she was in bed, with the radio on & she had passed away. So terribly sad! She was 75. There was also another accident Saturday night where a 19 year old boy from another neighboring town over-corrected his vehicle, wasn't wearing a seatbelt & was killed. And our friends in Pittsburgh lost one of their very best friends in a traffic accident yesterday. So much sadness over a holiday weekend!

On a lighter note, I did get both my tree's up & so far Gracie is letting them alone. I did put folding chairs all the way around the "main" tree before I left for work this morning. LOL!!! No trust! So our house is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!! Woo Hoo!! I bought all new decorations & lights for the tree in the new room. Nothing fancy, but I think it turned out nice! I did clear lights & amber lights & 1 strand of twinkling clear lights. It's something different for me since I've ALWAYS done colored lights!

I'm glad you have your trees up and that Gracie has left them alone! Smart move to surround the one with chairs! Can't wait to see pictures of your tree!

Good afternoon MMC!! I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get caught up since Thursday, but I'll try!! I never made it on here over the weekend, but I was thinking of you all!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Good afternoon, friends! How are you doing? All is well here. Just got all my Christmas shopping done!!! Yay! Now I have so much wrapping to do, it's not even funny. It will get done though.

Now I'm just relaxing watching Hallmark. EA is laying beside me sleeping. She is still sick. I never did update you all - both the kids were diagnosed last week with hand, foot, and mouth. That's why EA has been running the temps. If she still is the morning, she won't be able to go back to school tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
