Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning MMC! Not much going on around here today. Just work. Ho hum! After work today I'm going to bring the meal over to my friend. After I realized there was gluten in the gravy packet I put in the Pot Au Feu ~ I'm now also going to make "baked chicken" for my friend & her daughter who are both gluten free. Last night I also made some PB balls, dipped in chocolate for them since they have no gluten in them. I really do feel for anyone who has to be GF, b/c it is a bit of a pain! Lol! I know there are bigger sections in stores now with GF products, but I didn't have much in my house to work with! Soooo - hopefully all will be good. Other than that, no major plans for the evening except laundry. Yuck!

I so agree with the gluten free thing, so hard on those who have to go on such a restricted diet. It is great there are more products available now for them.
My laundry is done now. The last batch of bread is rising, fixed the zipper on my daughters coat, made my son take out the garbage and recycling. AND, opened another Christmas card !!!
I have tons of stuff I could do yet, but think I will instead relax this evening.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's been really busy again. Nancy's mom seems to be improving a bit, so we're feeling better about that. We're still trying to get decorated and get shopping done. And the IT guys are in our plant offices upgrading the servers, so the office is upside down.

Aside from that, it's just another lazy southern morning, feet propped up, sipping on a mint julep. :lol:

Like many here, I too am way behind this year. We can all get caught up together !

Happy pines day everyone! My goodness I slept awful last night and I woke up to a bad fever 103.2 and chills and misery. After I got my flu shot on october1st! So I am quarantined to my bedroom until I get into the Dr tomorrow to make sure what I have. Anyway can you all believe it is a mere 2 weeks from today to Christmas Eve...man why is it that time flies when you are having fun! I am just glad I only had 2 more days of work anyway. I hate to miss work because I even if I am sick, even when I am very sick because I feel like I am putting everyone else in a bind, but the last 2 weeks there have been so many others sick too, I just wonder how this good this flu shot is anyway, I mean I guess I could have a few others things, but this feels like the flu. and it is really really bad everywhere.
Can't tell you what the temps are because I Have not been outside yet today but it is warm im sure,suppose to get up to 50F today and 55 tomorrow. well I better sign off I will try to stay here as often as possible since I will be in bed for a while! Have a great humpday everyone!

praying it is nothing serious and you are soon well again. I did not get my flu shot yet, one thing after another and just never got around to it (and they are free here )
I feel the same about calling in sick, do not like to do it.

I agree with this. We bought ornaments that are miniature picture frames, and put in pictures of our departed pets, so they are always part of our Christmas. We shed a few tears when we hang them on our tree, but we also share happy memories at the same time.

Awesome. I've been trying to figure out how to do something similar for our 2 and 4 footed family who are no longer with us.

Hard to believe it is Wednesday already. Saturday I have a lot of errands to run and I just heard that it is going to be sunny and in the mid 40s. Perfect weather! Chores are waiting and I think I will have tomato soup for dinner and then maybe watch a Christmas movie. I found a DVD set at K-Mart last weekend and I am slowly making my way through the movies. Last night I watched two as Palmer was snoozing on my lap and I didn't have the heart to wake her up.

Hard to believe it is Wednesday already. Saturday I have a lot of errands to run and I just heard that it is going to be sunny and in the mid 40s. Perfect weather! Chores are waiting and I think I will have tomato soup for dinner and then maybe watch a Christmas movie. I found a DVD set at K-Mart last weekend and I am slowly making my way through the movies. Last night I watched two as Palmer was snoozing on my lap and I didn't have the heart to wake her up.

I'm gluten free because I have Celiac Disease. Its a pain in the butt. Especially since I'm the only person in my family that has to be GF. Can be very inconvenient at times. Anyway, that is very thoughtful of you to bring a meal over, I'm sure they really appreciate it. I hope you have a nice night!

I still have so much to do before Christmas too. The time is flying by. It will all get done, it always does!
