Christmas Countdown - 2014

Howdy!!! :hi:

I cannot believe I have been gone for over a month! Too long!

First of all, the family were passing around cold/flu for a few weeks. I got ill and my dog ended up at the vet with an ear infection. Busy dealing with that. Then when everyone got well, Snow-in-Texas and I went out of town for 2 weeks.

Christmasy kind of vacation: We went to visit Snow-in-Texas family in Maryland. We made a trip to National Christmas Center Museum in Pennsylvania. I highly recommend that museum - I was in awe! We also went to Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. I love aviation and it was awesome to go there! His family live real close to Gettysburg so we made a trip there as well. The highlight of the trip - we went to New York City Rockefeller Center!!! Thank you for the info, CJ, we did go to the Winter Village in Bryant Park and was very impressed! We drove on this whole trip - Texas to New York City - so lots and lots of Christmas music was playing all the way there and back.

Xmastidings - We did make it to Valley View Farms. They really set it up nicely with lots of pretty decorations. We also went to Town Mall in Westminster, MD., they have a lot of decorated trees on display that people can bid on. Not sure if you seen them, they are really pretty! Also made a trip to Inner Harbor in Baltimore for the Christkindle Market - it was nice!

I really miss you all and hope I can make it on here more often! Of course, like most of us on here, I will be busy up until after Christmas. I will do my best to not wait a full month to return!

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful time at the World's Largest Christmas Party. I am disappointed that I could not partake, but I will look forward to next year. My weekend was fun and disappointing. Buffalo was quite nice. We had fun doing a few tourist things on Saturday and then tailgating before for the game on Sunday.

The Packers were pretty awful. The defence did not give up a touchdown, but the special teams punt return was the difference. Having so many Packers fans there only to see a loss was disappointing. Most of the Buffalo fans were very nice. There were only a few idiots.

I'm still quite tired from all the travel. It was only about 11 hours of being in a car for two days, but it still takes a lot out of you! Prior to leaving Saturday morning, we had our annual Christmas Sweater, Fondue and Gift Exchange party at our friends' place. Good times were had. We didn't get home until about 2:30am, so I think that is still bothering me a little.

I am not working again today, so perhaps I will take a nap. It seems like a good idea to me. I'll check back in here a few times throughout the day. It is the final double digit day before Christmas, so I think these times must be extra cherished.

That's great, glad you both had a good trip and got a chance to go to valley View farms! I sure wished you guys would of have gotten in touch with me while you were there, because when you went to the Westminster mall, you were only a few miles away from my house. We could of have did lunch or something....

There is another place that if you ever get a chance to go to if your in Pennsylvania again, I believe you would fall in love with; it's called Longwood Gardens,

It is beautiful 24/7, 365 days a week, but this time of year, it is a Christmas Wonderland.

I wish we could have gotten in touch with you! Even though we had 2 weeks there it was non stop with family and still did not a get a chance to see everyone! The trip to the mall was random, we were on our way to another place and just decided to stop in - glad we did. We ate at the Mexican food restaurant there and it was delish! If you haven't tried it I recommend it.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a warm but rainy day here in Central Indy. I need to get out and run some errands though. I thought I was done with my Christmas shopping but as I was wrapping everything yesterday, I realized that I forgot to buy stocking gifts for everyone. Whoops. So I want to try and knock them out today before the stores get even crazier. I also need to get mom a birthday card. Her birthday is next Monday so we will probably celebrate it next weekend. It will just depend on what the weather is like. It's looking like December wants to go out with a bang with a snow storm next weekend, another one on Christmas eve and Christmas day, and then another one right before New Years. Boo!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Yep, we are going to start cooling down here too. It hasn't really been that mild here. Temperature wise, we have been well below normal most of the month. We just haven't had the snow. Which we normally only get one snowfall in December. January and February are our snow months.

You normally have 50's in December? Wow!
We are not used to spring weather in December. It's usually very cold & much more snow. But yes, much more snow in January, February, and March here.

We were at Inner Harbor on Monday and were at the mall on Tuesday! Did you like the Christmas Trees in the mall? Wayne enjoyed the Ravens Christmas Tree! I liked the one with the red cardinals in the tree.

Last time we went to Maryland we ate Mexican food at a different restaurant and were not impressed. I thought maybe Maryland can't do Mexican food like Texas can. Ha ha! I was wrong because that restaurant is good!!!!!

Morning!!! Almost 24 hours without any throwing up from Jude, phew!! He wouldn't let me leave the couch yesterday so I am looking forward to my run this am!!

I think we still have to cancel our gingerbread house making with my family today! I can't risk infecting our extended family such a bummer!!!
