Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good afternoon all. Working to get the house ready for company tonight. We will have dinner, play some games, then have a devotion to honor the real reason we celebrate Christmas. It always amazes me that God became a man and dwelt amount us. He created the trees that were used to make both the manager he slept in as a baby and the cross he died on 33 yrs later. He created the world that rejected him and the men that crucified him.



In addition to Luke chapter 2 & Matthew chapter 2, we also enjoy reading John chapter 1. It paints a beautiful picture of who Jesus is. He truly is "the reason for the season."

Just stopping in to say hello. I've been hanging out with my grandfather all day and I just got home about a half hour ago.

Tonight, we are going to hang in the house and bake Christmas Cookies. My two favorite Christmas cookies are Sugar cookies and the ones that have raspberry Jam in the top/ center of them. Oh my goodness, I could eat a bag of them all by myself.

Last year, I hardly watched any Christmas movies, shows, performances, etc.... But this year, I slowly starting to watch all my favorites, like watching Christmas Vacation last night. The night before, I watched The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and watched A Christmas Carol (the one with Patrick Stewart). Tonight, hopefully Rudolph and Charlie Brown.

Good evening everyone! Busy day for me but it's been a pretty quiet night. My husband went to the Islander game and the girls are all out. I started wrapping Christmas gifts and I'm just taking a little break. Not sure how much longer I'm going to last though, I'm awfully tired. The Christmas party went well at the preschool this morning. Santa came to visit the little ones, it was a lot of fun. I had to do a big food shopping trip afterward. I also went to the butcher, Rite Aid and HomeGoods. And I had to drive my daughter back and forth to work at the outlets because she ended up getting a flat tire last night after hitting a pot hole. My husband needs to pick up a new tire for her tomorrow. Anyway, I hope everyone is well and had a nice day. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Well I better get back to wrapping gifts, see you in the morning. Goodnight!
