Christmas Countdown - 2014

Well today isn't off to a good start. My mail never comes until at least 1 o'clock, apparently while I was in the shower though, they tried to deliver my 2 boxes from amazon that I have been waiting on. Since I didn't answer, they took them back and now I can't pick them up until Friday. So there goes pretty much all of my mom's and aunt's Christmas gifts.


On the bright side, that means that I am done wrapping!!!!

That stinks!

Good Morning! Merry Christmas Eve to all~ My goodness it's here already....I hope that everyone has a blessed day today with your families.

I awoke this morning to my cellphone going off and it was my youngest brother letting me know that my other brother's wife was in a really bad auto accident last night. They took her to Johns Hopkins with a broken pelvis front and back, fractured vertebra, and cartilage and a broken rib cage. I called my brother, but got no answer, so I left a voice mail message. My prayers are with them~ They were supposed to fly to orlando, Florida tomorrow afternoon and spend two weeks in Disney World.

It's always terrible to hear/ receive any bad news around Christmas!

It's pouring down raining outside this morning, I got a couple of more gifts to wrap this morning, make a few phone calls and then, wait for Lisa to get home from work, so that we can spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. The first time in about 10 years. Usually, she has to work one day or the other at the hospital, so this will be a nice change....

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Keep us updated!

My daughter was up with a fever last night and she's at the doctor now. We are praying it's not the flu. She's so worried about missing Christmas.

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone. This is my favorite day of the year, just because I have a whopping big Church Service to play the organ for tonight. I get to play many, many carols, which I'm looking forward to very much. Right now, I'm at "work". The boss is out of town, so what we're really doing is watching A Christmas Carol on one computer, playing Christmas Wonderland 5 on another one, and just hanging out. We get a phone call once and awhile, but not often. I guess we'll leave at noon. Meanwhile, have a great Christmas Eve, and enjoy!

Enjoy the services tonight! Christmas Eve services is my favorite!

Merry Christmas to all my friends here on MMC! It's been a great year counting down with all of you!

DH, the kids, and I will be heading to church around 5, but until then, we're just going to hang out and spend time together. This is one of my favorite days of the year!

After church, we'll come back and eat dinner, get the kids settled - we do a special Christmas Eve box - it has a new pair of Christmas pajamas, a Christmas movie, Christmas books, popcorn, and hot chocolate for the kids. They get to open this after church. They look forward to this every year.

I'll be working tonight, 11-7, but will be off tomorrow, at least I will be home to see the kids open their gifts!

So sorry to hear that the mailman's timing was so poor. (I guess he wanted to finish up early today…) Maybe you can give your mom and aunt Christmas cards as "rainchecks" until Friday … and they get a couple days more of anticipation!

:rudolph:I stepped out real quick and took a short trip to Home Depot and to the grocery store. Zach wanted to make lemon cookies, so I got him some lemon juice. Isn't that a great thing, a 22 year old (male), that wants to bake Christmas cookies for his mom! And me, I'll think of any excuse to go to Home Depot; LOL!!!!!

While I was at the grocery store, I picked up some steammed shrimp and some smoked salmon. I'm yhe only one that likes the smoked salmon, but that's ok, it's a treat for me....I just turned on AMC and White Christmas is on at the moment, I sure wish that this rain would turn into some sort of frozen precipitation, just like in the movie. Wow, It's 2 pm and the day is sliding pass sooo quickly.

Great idea! I really like that tradition~ I can relate to having someone working that 11-7 shift....It's a stinker for Christmas but hopefully, at least you will get a shift differential and holiday pay.

More 16mm tonight! It's a tradition here.

Mr. picked up a bucket of chicken and some sides from KFC that we'll be working on shortly, then the Christmas Eve movie night begins!
