Christmas Countdown - 2015

Do you know just how true it is when on the weather channel, they mention about the rain/snow line around the I-95 corridor here in the Mid-Atlantic states, well, here at the office it's about 33 degrees (about 10 miles from I-95) and where I live at, about 40 miles North West of here, it's presently 27 degrees on the main highway, but in the little valley where I live, it's currently 24 degrees.

It's always that 5-6 degree temperature difference from Baltimore County to where I live at in Carroll County. I'll call into work and tell them I'll be late because of a weather related issue and sometimes I think that they think I'm just making it up....

Just sharing my ponderings this morning~

It is similar with us, too.

It's good you plan ahead, and are prepared for it. Knowing what to expect is half the battle.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be another decent day with a high around 40 degree's. It looks like we might see some snow flurries this afternoon though. I have a few things to do real quick around here this morning and then I will head to the hospital. The doctors usually come around between 9 and 10 am so I want to be there before then. That way I can get a sense if mom will be released today or not. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be another decent day with a high around 40 degree's. It looks like we might see some snow flurries this afternoon though. I have a few things to do real quick around here this morning and then I will head to the hospital. The doctors usually come around between 9 and 10 am so I want to be there before then. That way I can get a sense if mom will be released today or not. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good morning FS! The PCB's have been going in and out for me, since the Christmas decorations came down at my house. Coming here always makes us feel better though...

You know what I personally found to help me feel better a little better about Christmas is over.... That is to go shopping for after Christmas sales!!!!! Oh, I like that a lot!!! Lisa is always, and I mean always teasing me about how much I love to go shopping! She constantly says that it' snot right for a guy to like to go shopping, like candles and doesn't complain..... I just don't know, to me, it's kind of like exploring....You just never know what you will find around the next corner/ isle.....LOL!!!

Sorry to hear that half of your family is sick, it's all kind of icky stuff going around this year, it's all over the place. It's like I do not want to go to any pubic place and touch anything unless I'm wearing gloves. I hope your family feels better soon and that the rest of you do not catch it...

I get a thrill finding a good bargain and I love discovering unusual treasures. Our shops her are getting smart about reducing the Christmas stuff. One shop didn't reduce anything this year. Last I was there, they were loading it into their store room to come back out in September most likely!

Should be a tad cooler today, then we return to cold figures by the weekend.
(Just to remind us not to get too cocky at this time of the year!)
Right now, we are at 42 degrees here in the capital city.

You can never tell what's going to happen when it comes to that camel.

I just saw that they issued a Winter Weather Advisory for my area for snow. They are presently saying 2-4 inches starting around 6 am tomorrow. Looks like I'm going to try to get a jump on it and get out of the house early again tomorrow morning.

I put a 40lb bag of salt all over the driveway yesterday, so hopefully, that will prevent the snow from sticking to it, once it starts falling.

It's supposed to be sunny and in the low 70's here. Feels like spring!

Glad to hear mom was doing better. That is pretty stupid about the dietary restriction. They should have had her nothing by mouth in the ED, especially until they knew what was going on or at least until they had her pass a swallowing test. Dumb! Lol...oh well. Hopefully the doctor changes her diet in the AM.

Well they had her swallowing pills in the ER so they knew she could swallow.

They just did a swallow test on her this morning and she passed just fine. So they were going to recommend to the doctor that she could eat now.

It's a beautiful day today, as I noted above, and it's supposed to be in the 70's. WOW! I have to take Jacob to the dentist, so I have to leave work early today. Darn! I might even have to go fishing this afternoon. Rats! :wink:

Mr Festive has gone into work, he is still unwell though. I just hope he doesn't make himself worse. My eldest was up through the night with a high fever and cough. He might be off for the rest of the week , I'll see how it goes. I collected his homework from school and can help him catch up with some of the work he is missing.

My youngest and I are feeling fine, hopefully we will avoid coming down with anything.

Another good thing is , I think I can safely say that I escaped the PCBs this year. I think this is the first year that I felt good about it. I am not suffering the winter blues just yet either even though the weather has been harsh.

I hope everyone is coping through January and staying positive.
