Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good evening,

A slow moving day at work today, I am sure tomorrow will be different with the snow coming in on Saturday. People will be shopping like it's armegeddon because of a few inches of snow.

I hope today turns out better than you expect it.

Mr. will be picking up some stuff today---not so much because of the snow, as because there's a good chance there could be electrical outages. We keep a box no-refrigerate food just in case (ever since Snowtober and Sandy), but most of it was expired.

After this week, I won't mind staying indoors while the snow piles up for a few hours. We're very busy---demanding clients, late changes, tight deadlines---'most everyone here is overworked, over-tired, and on edge. I'm hoping that this doesn't turn into weekend work. I'd really cherish a break for some leisure.

Thanks! We're trying to fix things so we don't have to go out tomorrow. We may have to do some shoveling if our plow guy is busy, though.

Closer to the coast they may mix with rain for a time, but so far it looks like all snow for our area. A lot will depend on where the snow/rain line falls during the storm.

working this morning, cake this afternoon. I am really liking 4 hour days, unfortunately they come with an injured ankle. It is feeling a bit better every day which is nice.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cloudy day here with a high of 40 degree's. I need to get back to getting stuff done around the apartment and then I have some errands that need to be run at some point today. Will hopefully get a chance to relax at some point too. Thank you, I really really hope so too! Got home about 8 p.m. last night and scrambled a couple eggs for dinner. I tried a cup of Tension Tamer tea (no caffeine), but I still couldn't fall asleep until around 1 a.m. As I mentioned above, I hope hope hope there will be no weekend work.

This made me think of our friends - they adopted a beautiful Golden Retriever & his name was "Ginobi" The husband doesn't like that name, so he calls him "Alex" but to the rest of the family, he's Ginobi! cheesy Good luck!

I already told the vet that the cats name was Sasha, I would have to tell them that we changed her name. So embarrassing. I'll have to let the vet know when she goes in for her next appointment. Rosie it is.

Can't believe how well the cats are all getting along. I don't have to keep them separated anymore. They're being so good. The vet thinks Rosie is about six or seven months old, so she's just a month or two older than Sophia. Here they are playing ~

So long, wonderful Spring-like weather. Now it's raining and it won't get over 50°. Blech. Still, it's Friday!

Elizabeth is going with her church youth group to Stone Mountain, GA tonight. There's a snow tubing place (with man-made snow, obviously) up there that they all want to visit. The plan is to camp out in a church in Atlanta, then tube all day tomorrow, then drive home. We'll see what happens, with all this rain.

Mrs. Hilda got another good report from her orthopedic doctor yesterday. I'm going with Nancy to visit her this afternoon.

(Winter is definitely making its presence re-felt.)

We have some nasty weather heading our way. Its supposed to arrive early tomorrow morning. Snow, then rain, then back to snow. My daughter has a class in the morning, I'm praying that they cancel it because I don't want to worry about her driving. Not sure if they will though, it's not supposed to be a lot of snow but I'm sure it will be enough to make the roads a mess. Anyway, not too much going on for me today. I'm going to run to the supermarket for a few things. I'm feeling kind of headachy so I'm not going to do a full food shop, I'll just get enough to get through the weekend and then I'll go back on Monday. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday!!

I'm a little sleepy today. Went to my friends for stitching night - and I was so close to finishing my afghan, I went home & stitched til 2:30 in the morning! Still didn't finish, but I'm SO close!!! Ran out of the 1 color yarn with about 20 stitches left on the border. GO FIGURE! My friend had the color I needed, so her hubby dropped it off to me here at work this morning!! :-D Hoping to finish an afghan this afternoon!!

As I mentioned earlier, we are heading to the lake tomorrow night. Other than that, we really have no plans. My neighbor lady sent a text wanting to get together for a walk & then "Funday Friday" this afternoon! I'll have to see how the afternoon pans out! We haven't had a Funday Friday since early fall! Would be nice to chat with them again!
