Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good morning! I awoke this morning to a good solid inch of slush. ice and snow all over the surfaces. Tried to walk in it and whoops, it's slicker than a greased rail. I'm going to hang inside for a few hours and try to let this stuff melt a bit and then try to tackle the I'm wishing you all well and please be safe.

I understand completely! Last year, I felt the same way. But this year, I am ready....I got a brand new Simplicity tractor with a 48" wide snow thrower on it, just waiting for a good snow thumping to really test it out... IE....I want to go out in the snow and have some fun with my new man toy.... :thumbsup:

Your fun would be unlimited up here today! And we'd love to have you here to cut a 48-inch-wide swath through all this white stuff!

wow a lot more snow than I thought out there. Was moving van to alternate lot so this one could get plowed and got stuck. Thanks to my neighbors and some digging and pushing got out only to discover the other lot not plowed yet either. So the van is parked on a side street until that is done. Do not like leaving it there but no other choice.
This is no weather to be wearing an air cast !
It is so cold out, windchill of -24c (-11f) and even with mitts on my fingers were froze walking just a half block home.
Hope those plows come soon

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's rainy and nasty here this morning. Elizabeth saw on the Weather Channel app yesterday that a light snow was predicted here for Thursday night. Now she wants all of us the pray for snow LOL. I know a lot of you guys are tired of it, but snow is a rare occurrence down here. So, a-praying we will go!

Me and my brother worked on the Camaro this weekend. We finally got a set of heads built and installed on the block. He says that, with some effort, we could possibly crank the car this week. Wow! I just don't know if I'll have the spare time to devote to it during the week. We'll see.

My youngest and my husband are still very unwell, recovery seems very slow.I didn't feel all that great yesterday either. Exhaustion really caught up with me too on top of that.

Not too much planned for today. I'm so relieved that the schools are closed due to the weather and the girls can stay in!

it is a cold and stormy morning here, school buses cancelled, roads closed, snow falling and then blowing around. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I don't have to be into work until 1pm so most of the falling snow will be past by then, just have to contend with it blowing around making it hard to see.

For now I am warm and snug at home enjoy a mug of hot tea

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be a cold day here with a high of 16. Brr!!!! We got another couple of inches of snow overnight but nothing to bad. So it just took a few minutes to shovel everything out. Not much planned for today. Just dealing with my sick niece. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up to a few inches of snow but it has turned over to freezing rain. I hate this, it's so dangerous. They say it may turn back over to snow later today. I really hope it does, at least they'll be some traction out there.

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday! How is it Monday already?! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I haven't have a chance to catch up on here, but hope whoever wanted to enjoy the super bowl (or commercials) yesterday, was able to do so! Quite a game!

The weathermen sure got our weather wrong this weekend. 8-12" of snow. HA! We had mostly rain. Which froze, so schools were all delayed or cancelled this morning. It's freezing out there....blowing & COLD!! I'm shopping online for swimsuits for vaca...as cold as it is outside, it's hard to imagine wearing a swim suit!!!! LOL We went shopping on Saturday, but there aren't many summer things in the stores yet. AND it was the worst day for shopping - everyone & their brother were out before the "big storm"!

We had Moms bday brunch yesterday. It was very tasty & I think she enjoyed it. Dad came along, after bucking about it all weekend. He thought it was too much hassle to take him out! It all worked out fine.

Good morning Christmas buddies! I am trying to get the boys to eat breakfast. Why is it when you are a toddler or kid you have to be forced to eat? even "good" food? I was not ready for this morning...I heard on my morning radio show that pretty soon Monday after superbowl sunday will soon be a holiday anyways, but I have heard that for years! maybe soon!! I will talk to yall later after they boys get up from a nap!
