Christmas Countdown - 2015

Well It's a perfect Monday. Work has been a pain, it's 50F with fog and rain, what more is there really!? At least it's moving fast! We are suppose to have rain tonight with low around 39F and rain all day tomorrow with a high of 50 again,then weds we actually hit 60,then it clears up and sunny the rest of the week,until the weekend then rain sat and sun,but no mention of snow yet..but it's still way to early to give up on a decent shot of snow. Well I better get back to work, I hope everyone has a great evening!TTYL!

I can't figure that out! The heaviest snow was supposed to be over early in the afternoon, but we've had some awfully heavy snow at times throughout the afternoon. We've been waiting for a good opportunity to dig out, and it hasn't come yet. Unofficial reading here is 13.5 inches. National Weather Service says it should wind down around 7 p.m. I hope so!

Well my niece has bronchitis and a sinus infection. So my sister just brought her back in for her to stay again tonight since she can't go to school again tomorrow.

Not much going on here this evening. I've just been spending time with DH and the kids. I've also been watching Hallmark - they're doing a Countdown to Valentines Day. I'm enjoying it greatly!

Good afternoon an Happy Groundhog Day!



I stayed home after himming and hawing for a half hour to go in this morning. I finally decided to be safe and stay home after watching the weather report and hearing them say it was going to get a lot worse, and they have been right. We have at least 8-9 inches out there, and it is still coming down like crazy.



I finally took down the last two Christmas trees this morning, it looks so empty without them. I can't complain though, I had them up until February. Just have to take down the indoor lights and garland and my Santas, then I will be de-Christmassed.



AMC has had A "Groundhog Day" marathon all day, so I have been enjoying that. One of Bill Murray's best.



I hope you all are having a great day thus far.

Good afternoon! About to get ready for work, but I wanted to pop in here before I do to say Hi. I just got my weekly TIME magazine in the mail, and I just read that Yankee Candle Co is about to release a line of candles that smell like Girl Scout cookies! Thin mint..no thank you..mint or vanilla flavored candles make me kind of nauseated but I am sure a lot of folks like them..I thought what would they think of next! Also this post makes my 145th post this year, I am already tied with how many posts I made the whole year of 2014. I made my resolution to read and post here 30 minutes a day, and so far for the most part I do at least that much! Well I better get going I will check back in when I get to work..have a great afternoon everyone!

Oh yeah Happy Groundhog Day!! There will be 6 weeks of winter left...I have got to get just one snowstorm this year! Still praying for that to happen..(sorry east coasters I know yall are sick of snow)

Anyone want to come help me dig out? (I'm looking at you xmastidings with your fancy new toy cheesy ) We have close to a foot out there and the windchills are in the negatives. I have to go out and shovel soon, since we didn't set up a plow today. It is coming down harder now than at any point of the day.

The news here was saying the heaviest was going to be between 7-11am. It was heavier this afternoon, and we are around a foot and it is still falling.

Yep, same here. Mr. was out shoveling and came in a few minutes ago---he says it's still snowing. Various schools (not in our town, though) have already announced that they're closed tomorrow.
